Trailer Photos

*Note I figured out why the camera wouldn't focus and why it was washing everyone out - but I'm not going to go take new pictures and these are the FIRST shots - you know when the kids were excited. I thought going out again, opening it up, sliding it all out and trying to recreate their excitement would be anti-climatic. It was that same little switch Heather found before...this time it didn't flash F but it took strange photos. LOL

Arielle and Stacia are Happy
We all had our favorite amenities to exclaim over!
Nolan thinks the outside sink, stove and awning are cool!

Jamin takes advantage of the dinette

Several commented on the BIG freezer and fridge (as compared to the pop-ups)

Stacia loves the new hiding spots - this one between the bunks in the back room
Josiah likes the music options

I began to worry that we weren't all going to fit in this now that Stacia sleeps in a bed...we weren't sure the bunks would be long enough for Jared. They are. We've got four nice wide bunks in the back. We have several options for sleeping. I don't think they are big enough for the over 6 foot crowd...so we may put Jared and the four younger ones back here, Cy on the pull out sofa and Jamin on the dinette bed...

I must admit I share Zander glee at an INSIDE toilet....no more 2 a.m. jaunts to the restroom, potty training with the facilities 1/2 a mile away, mid-night walks with bears, porcupines, armadillos....but then again I've come to LOVE seeing the night sky at different times of night, the peace and tranquility of those middle of the night runs....but NAH....ultimately I share Zander's glee at the toilet. ::snort::
Several have mentioned over and over that they suddenly have an urge to go camping....and this will probably grow as the trailer sits in the front yard. ::snort:: It's all here waiting for you Mike. The other photos were to washed out to share (our room, pass through storage spots) it's nice...and it was 8K less than blue book! Yes! Co-op newsletter is done, tables are set up, baskets are out...I'm going to bed.
Oh - things that make a mom go "Hmmm"...the control panel...you know with the switch for the slide outs etc...is in a toddler height cupboard as you walk in the trailer. That will HAVE to be child proofed somehow.

Hey, maybe the kids can test it out and camp in the street! Or have an almost-camp out, spending the evening in there, going into the house to sleep when it gets really late!

De'Etta!!! What fun. I am with you and the kiddos in having an overwhelming urge to go camping (and we don't camp). I love it! Congratulations on doing such an excellent job in researching and buying the camper. I hope it brings you all much joy this summer.

You'll have to show a picture of the bunk area... from standing back aways so we can see what the room looks like! We looked at so many models ... they all started to blur after awhile. We ended up with one that has a balcony of sorts for 2 beds and then a separate room for the other bunks instead of all 4 in one so the girls could have their "room" and the boys could have theirs separate.

I can't believe how many different configurations were out there.... a lot more than when we looked 10 years ago (LOL)!

I LOVE IT! That's about the same savings we realized as well... here it's the time of year. I don' tknow if that has anything to do with it there or not.

How very exciting. I'd share Zander's glee, too! I'm glad our bathroom facilities are not 1/2 mile away thoug. I do wake Doug up and have him walk with me. It is so very peaceful at night, and the stars are gorgeous!

AW come on Sis: What in the world makes you think you need to toddler proof the control area? :):) Looks like a lot of fun yesterday and I can just imagine the GLEE when you and the kids get to show it all to Mike. Congrats.... wonder if it is ok for parents to be glad for you and also wish..... :(:):)

Think at our young age we too like the potty aspect.

I will have a fun day today... doing computer stuff for my boss in preparing all 251 special needs junk for the kids for next year.

AND mly favorite of all is to proctor a State test in reading for a bunch of kids in the TESTA lab. Love it cuz they can't make a peep and etc. A good time for reading.

Congrats on the camper. It looks reaaly nice. I don't blame you for not parking the thing elsewhere as I don't do too well backing cars up!! This request is OT here, but any chance you'd like to share your oven fried chicken recipe? It sounds yummy and I'd like to give it a try. I couldn't find it in the recipes on your blog.

So nice! It is so fun to get a new "toy". We have a long time to wait before we can go camping, unless we head very, very far south. Most campgrounds up here don't open until Memorial Day weekend...or maybe a weekend before.

We have found the two little ones can sleep end to end in the bunks. We did this a couple times when we had cousins with us. And we had the three Littles sleeping crosswise in our table bed this summer.

Wonderful purchase!
Indoor toilet is cool feature. {g}

Names...G's Getaway,...getaway goose...Dad's Treat/Mom's Retreat...Cache Camper...Cache Cruiser...The G's GeoCacher...Y'all will find the right name on your own. lol

And you're welcome to use our water and electric anytime you want to camp out here...but our driveway is sloped.

So, what did you do w/your other camper?

Actually the cousin I was sharing the bed with got there late so when I woke up there she was! LOL

Have fun camping!

Looks nice! Add me to this listof those who would consider the indoor toilet one of the best features. midnight treks to and outdoor potty would be scary!

QB - it's hard to get photos inside....there's bunks to match the ones you see with the little closet Stacia is sitting in between them. Each bunk has a pocket storage thing hanging on the wall - and the kids think that is cool.

How fun! We would love to get some type of trailer or something someday, but I don't know if I would be brave enough to buy it while Tim was gone. When did you say you all were coming out this way for a camping trip? (Hint hint). I still need some pizza cooking instruction from Jamin (I think that's your pizza afficianado).

Kristine - we thought of sleeping in it....but we have to open the slide out and it would be in the middle of the road....HOWEVER the master "room" is livable even with the slide outs IN....so maybe I'll move a book or two out there and make it my hide out. I really wish we could get this in our driveway - I'd leave it here....it will sure make a nice guest room....for mom and dad - or the girls when they are home...

Diann - I did not set out to buy a trailer - but there it is....LOL

I set out to simply get answers to questions Mike was contemplating....guess I got the right answers. ::snort::
