The Week is OFF and RUNNING...

Mike left this a.m. for a week's TDY (temporary duty). Zander didn't realize he was gone until bed time when he said, "Isn't my Dad coming home tonight?"

Josiah and I spent time obsessing over the slide show. It has to be in Powerpoint. We got the slides going but couldn't get the music to embed. Tricia had the same problem last year and had instructions for us. He got it to work on the jump drive. We can't get it to work if we save it to a hard drive, and we can't make a disc...but it's there.

I went to a meeting today about fund raising for World View Academy. We're considering this for Jamin and Jared in the fall. Has anyone else had student's attend this? They have a week long homeschool camp in the fall. Heather - I need to catch you to talk about this.

I already wrote about school.

Tonight was Shop Natural co-op. It was an easy night...small night. Always fun to visit with folks.

I have some GREAT photos from the day, but I can't get any of the card readers to work...Mike is gone again...you KNOW what that means!

De'Etta, Brian is TDY this week also.

I guess for you, things break down, when your hubby is away. When Bri is away, I seem to get hurt. Yesterday I broke through a board on a friends dock and smashed my leg...very painful and that water was sure cold. Gabe said, "Why do these things always happen when Daddy is away?"

Anyway, I hope you have a good week!

Didn't you sprain your ankle or do something to you leg last time he was TDY? I'll take the break down thing any day. LOL

De'Etta - you and Debbie are breaking down all over the place. :) Just don't try to tackle any serious projects and maybe the rest of your appliances will keep chugging along.

Sounds like wisdom to me, Kathy. I think Debbie should stay in bed the rest of the week to avoid any more personal injuries. ::snort::

Missed you at Mom's Night Out. Thought about you when a guest from CAP was introduced and spoke for 15-20 minutes about the program. Looking forward to Erik turning 12 so we can sign him up...did you know that here the kids can learn to fly...airplanes...and not pay instructor fees?!? They 'just' have to pay for the fuel...something to think about..adding pilot to Erik's high school transcript. See you Friday.

Deja,

Yes...I knew about CAP...cool program. They even have a chaplain. LOL Jared will be starting as soon as he's done with HoF - otherwise it is simply too busy of a day from 1:00 - 9:30 for him out of the house....not sure how he'll do both next year and would hate to see him give up HoF. Guess he'll be praying about that this summer.

I was going to come last night after co-op was delivered but A told me that they were talking about "why you homeschool" and CAP and such and she thought that I would be fine missing it. LOL

Though I've missed 3 now because of Shop Natural co-op and I miss seeing everyone. No more conflict now until next spring. LOL Last year when it was on Tuesday I could never make it because of Bible Study - so this is good.

Is the slideshow for graduation? Fortunately, the other graduate in our group is going to put together our slideshow.. all I have to do is get him the pics on a CD.. no small task.. just bought a new scanner for that purpose.
