Pregnancy Tidbits

Tricia informed me today that she's been praying I'd be sick enough to be reassured but not incapacitated. You gotta love a friend like that. ::snort:: Her prayers work...as do many of yours from what I'm hearing. Seriously, thanks for your prayers.

Yes, more nausea.

Worked out today. They rechecked all the books and the key is that my heart is not to go over 140 max....and that is 23 heartbeats in 10 seconds....that is about 75% of my max and I can keep it THERE much easier than at 50%. ::snort::

I am still dizzy more than I would like to be, but I've not had those near fainting or fainting episodes for a week.

I found the "mother of all baby name books" on our shelves. I knew we had to have one that wasn't worn out. ::snort:: They still don't have the name I compiled from my grandmothers' names. That's o.k. I still have quite a bit of convincing to do before Mike will go for it. AND this one is being born in "boy season" but still I suspect a girl...but will say "boy" to keep the peace around here.

Well Sis,
I have a vague memory of my gh coming home from an OB unit during nursing school and telling me that morning sickness is usually a good sign. It can mean the placenta is well attached and all is working properly to carry nutrients in/toxins out. I'm not a nurse, so don't quote me on this.{g} Not sure if that helps comfort, but our Lord is good and this child is in His care!

PTL that you're sick! You know what I mean...

Hey, I was going to suggest the name Noelle(for a girl)since you are having a baby around Christmas. I kept wanting to use Noella as a middle for our little one as one of my great grams' name was Noella but it means "Christmas born" or something like that and I thought it too weird for a May baby.

I also really like the name you made from your grams' names. It was very similar to one I had wanted to use as well.

Hugs,
Jen in az.

DeEtta,
I am so sorry you are sick but only in as much as you are feeling rotten. I am thrilled that you are nausea for your sake and peace and as a sign that all is going well. I will pray that it not persist for very long and that you are able to get done what you need to get done during this time. As one who was sick 24/7 for 6-8 months of each pregnancy, I can truly understand how you feel! LOL
Who knew we would be praying for nausea and rejoicing that it has come.

We always had such a hard time coming up with names! It sure is a fun way to pass the pg time though.

Noel, Natasha, Natalia, they all mean Christams. But my October born daughter has Noel as her middle name anyway! She's also the only one of our family without a "J" name. I give me kids the names I like. I don't worry what others will think!

Noella and Nolan might be confusing though.

Nah - I don't worry about what OTHERS think but I do have to consider Mike....and there is the big hang up. LOL

Well, yeah. That's a given. Actually, I didn't get to use many of "my" names. Most of the kids have names dh picked out. Well, except for Jacob's middle name where it was a matter of who got to the birth certificate first! Since my top three boy names didn't get to be used at all, he can live with this middle name! LOL

I have a funny birth certificate story - but I'll save it protect the respected but guilty party. ::snort::
