*Key Lime Pie Murder* by Joanne Fluke
This is the latest of my Summer Reading Challenge reads. I SAVED it for months until I was "ready" for a fun and easy read....and that happened after all the cleaning and organizing of the past few weeks. ::snort::
I continue to enjoy this series.
I AM finding the characters to be unrealistic, but that tends to be the case in most mystery cozies. Where else in America would a pudgy 30 something year old woman with frizzy red hair have TWO men fawning over her and content to live in a perpetual state of competition? I seem to be the only reader out there who thinks a good marriage makes for way more fun and interest in a series than ongoing dating. LOL Take the Benni Harper Series or the Bed and Breakfast series...and what are those classics with Jack and Nora....I still maintain it would be possible for this to be a great series if Hannah would simply choose Mike and get on with adjusting to marriage....THAT would be as funny as all the dating shenanigans in my estimation. ::snort::
My plan was to give this one away this week - but really I NEED to keep it until I've copied the recipes and the copier is out of toner. ::snort:: Maybe next week.

So, you think she should pick Mike as well? I was of that impression, but my parents say she should pick Norman as he is better for her and she mostly is just attracted to Mike.

I think the author is writing it so that we THINK Norman is better for her....but whose to say what is better? A bit of excitment, committment...Mike has proven he can be committed (isn't he a widower), and dependable....and attraction isn't a bad thing either.

Norman just seems boring. I mean good for her and all but shouldn't you be a bit attracted too?

I am one who believes FIRMLY that love is a choice of the will....but face it if something in Michael hadn't attracted me I probably wouldn't have MADE the choice to love him day in and day out....so I think it's both...an attraction and a choice....and I've seen arranged marraiges too BTW, and choice can come before attraction.....but there should eventually be both and I don't see both in Hannah and Norman. LOL

OH forgot to say that I think Norman is just a bit to conniving for me in this book - c'mon cooking for the cat?????

I think they should marry Hannah off too, but to Norman LOL. You're just biased to a Mike in uniform :)

I love this series. I'm ready for the next Death by Chocolate murder, in Sept. or Oct. I think......

I'm not sure which she should marry. I'm about 1/2 way through with this book now and I have to say that the house Norman built that they designed together sounds quite DREAMY! I love the house descriptions!
