Oh goodness....Zander is getting upset at the options I'm offering him. He's been asking very nicely but I still keep telling him no. He just said, "Mom.....you are giving me a little headache". :::snort::::
OK came home today from HEB and discovered that this fella had fallen out of a tree. They had the poor dog on the leash as she now has a reputation of chasing birds and CATCHING them.
Here he is - a grackle...with a face that only a mother could love....

It really is sad when they keep falling out of the tree. They cry and cry for their mamas.

DeEtta, can you put him back? My parents had a baby hawk that was basically kicked out of his nest (too many babies) and the animal people told them how to pick him up and bring him in. Anyway, they learned that the mothers aren't really that picky about their babies being handled.
We had an accident yesterday that resulted in a nest of birds in one of our trees getting broken and the babies keep falling out. We keep putting them back in. We finally hooked up a set up so they don't fall out. Their mama is still taking care of them even though we have messed with them.
I guess it makes a difference of whether your baby fell out or was kicked out. If he was kicked out, putting him back won't help. If he fell out, maybe you could try putting him back.
