FRIDAY

We planned Friday to be a stay home and get things done day...though it didn't really work out that way.

It is Mike's day off - but he went in to the office.

Josiah worked an a.m. shift. He has been hoping for a shift change so he could be home for Friday Family night.

Krista and I went to pick up her bike and the stopped by Baker's Street to chat and such. I'm totally enjoying catching up with the girls and exploring all the new aspects of their character.

Arielle went to play with a friend most the afternoon.

Jamin made pizza for dinner.

Bre, Krista and I went on a PWOC outing. We ate at a restaurant that we'd heard a lot about - Peasant Village. It was good. Turn out was, as always, less than I'd like to see....but I'm realizing that this is the way things will be on this base - due to lack of base housing, make up of the base population etc. We'll have fun with the few who do participate.

The family that was "left behind" watched *Shaggy Dog*. We came home just as Hogan's Heroes began. I went to bed before midnight - which was good as Stacia has been up since 3 a.m.

We watched Shaggy Dog yesterday evening also. I've not seen the origional, so had no idea what it was about. I had no idea he turned into a dog lol. Oh, the sheltered life I've lived lol.

We also watched Second Hand Lions and Congo. I was tired and the kids were bickering so I made them watch tv. How awful, eh? They didn't think so. I did sleep in until 9! Did a few pilate abs and walked 2 miles. I just put color on Jordan's hair and sent the other two back to bed. They are having issues, especially Allen UGH.

Ok....I just wrote a blog entry lol....

My kids loved the Shaggy Dog movie. I didn't watch it very closely so I hope it didn't have anything questionable. I was busy sleeping....(g)

We have watched the old movie, or two of them I think but not the new Shaggy Dog yet. We were taking a little break from netflix but hopefully it will still be there waiting in my queue when we return. Sounds like a fun movie.

A long time ago I think you were asking for movie suggestions. My kids have enjoyed all the Kimba movies from netflix. It is about a white lion and really The Lion King is sort of a modern day rip-off of Kimba. It's quite funny how much they copied. Anyway since Kimba is so old it is not filled up with icky stuff which you may not want your kids to watch. It may not hold the interest of your teens and older though.

Thanks for the suggestion, Jodi.

Jen and Kelly - did the new Shaggy Dog follow the line of the old one? I don't remember the whole animal rights thing in the first one...but then I must have seen it when years and years ago.

We just heard that RV is on it's way. I'd put SD and RV in our que when they came out at the theaters. LOL

RV was a VERY SLOW moving movie (LOL)! Of course, we were disappointed before we even saw it because we went intending to see Over The Hedge and it was SOLD OUT... can you believe that? SOLD OUT at the $1 theater??? We found that odd.... oh well. we had already drive all the way into town and didn't want to go home without doing something fun so we watched RV... we laughed hysterically in the beginning because the family decides to take an RV trip instead of going on their planned Hawaii vacation... and it struck us so funny because the boys in our home have been talking about buying and RV and traveling in the winter and all of us girls are still planning to go to Hawaii (LOL)! Anyway.... that was the funniest part of the show... oh, and there is a homeschooling family and of course they make them out to be a wacko family... sigh.... parts of it just seemed all too much like us (LOL)! We hardly EVER watch movies and we also saw Shaggy Dog not too long ago, but I fell asleep and have no clue how it ended...

Hmm....well Queenbee - I hope we enjoy RV more than you did. :::snort::: The previews struck the kids and I as funny since we do so much camping for "vacations"...as for homeschooling families....I guess most I know would be considered sort of whacky by the general society. LOL I wish someone would do a movie with accurate portrayals from all segments of society - that would be a fun one to watch. LOL

It IS funny but it's such a slow moving movie, imo, that it just took awhile to get to all the funny parts (LOL)....

If the funny parts aren't near the beginning, QB, I'm liable to be asleep when they arrive. LOL
