Bre has been working with Arielle, Nolan and Zander to make puppets this week. Here they put on a show, though Stacia wants to see what is going on "behind the screen".

Those puppets are great! We haven't gotten to the big puppets yet but we love to make our own finger puppets from felt. The older kids have around 20 each that they made and now Evie has her own collection started. I also made an in the door puppet theater years ago with a tension rod, some fabric and two dowels. The kids used to play with it all the time. I guess it's time for a new one for the little kids.LOL The old one has worn out after years of play.

Blessings,

Lisa

Lisa - what a great idea for a puppet theater.....these puppets were little kits from Tuesday Morning.....

I liked the fact that it could be stored under a bed or in a closet. When the kids were younger, we just left it in their closet doorway and then they could use it anytime. In case you're wondering how to put it together, it was a 30 min project. Just sew a pocket for the tension rod to go through at the top of some fabric cut into an upside down U. The opening in the U will be the theater part. Then sew a pocket for a dowel in the top and bottom of another piece of fabric leaving a little room at the top to sew to your U. Then sew the bottom fabric to your upper fabric and then add a curtain for the inside of the U. I used a semi see-through shiny silver fabric for the curtain, a velvet purple fabric for the U and a black velvet for the bottom. Then just add your dowels and spring rod and let the kids at it!

I'm going to check out Tuesday Morning for the puppets. Those are so cute and I'm looking for Christmas...Thanks!
