PWOC
Tonight we had a Potato Bar/Salad and Dessert dinner for the women of the chapel (PWOC). Some had mentioned that they wished we had more time to simply get to know each other. That was my goal for tonight. Mandy, one of our new chaplain’s wives came and I think it was really good for her to be able to have a “get to know you night”. Honestly, it was good for all of us. We had fun. There were 6 of us – which is good for us. Mike, I was the only one from our family present this time. :::snort:::
Lynn, I used your ice-breaker. By the time we got to that the comment was made that ice had been broken…but I told them that I worked hard to find an ice breaker and we were going to use it. You choose 3 things from your purse or wallet that tell something about you….it was hilarious. Of course, next time I should remember that ice breakers come FIRST. LOL
We are going to be using the LifeChange study series by Nav Press and studying I, II and III John. This is a lighter study but it teaches the inductive study method….in other words it teaches you how to study any book of the Bible on your own. Good skills to know.
