Mondays -

are dreaded around here. We always weight our studies heavily to Mon - Wed. I'm trying to play catch up on laundry after Sunday. I don't mention it every day but laundry is a constant theme to my days (3-5 loads a day except Sunday).

This a.m. we got up and kept adapting as needed throughout the day. I began to think about that when I read Debbie's comment to my school post. Nothing went quite as planned but enough got done. LOL

So...school. Dinner: Chicken Divan, another 39 second salad (yippee)...something else. We were just finishing dinner when Josiah got called in to work.

I had Mom's Night Out. I really enjoy that time but am not sure that I'll be able to keep it up until Mike gets home. Things were pretty rough for the children left at home....we even left before folks were done so that I could be home close to bed time for the littles. It seems to me that maybe park days or family activities are going to be better for my "outs" than Mom's Nights...but the boys want me to try it one more month. We'll see.

Laundry-yuck.lol

I call Monday my day of reckoning.lol It always feels like one of those game shows where you finally get to see if you won or not.lol I'm not telling you my odds though.lol

I'm still learning the "Duck and Weave" routine. I may be weaving with my 2nd soon.

I've been struggling lately because of my lack of connections here. The homeschool group here isn't great and I just don't seem to fit in. Something about me beating to my own drum.lol I was so used to having a lot of friends and support in Miami and have none here. Have you ever been in a place where you didn't make friends? I'm learning a lot about myself but it sure would be nice to have someone to talk to occasionally. I'm thankful this season came now because I think I would have struggled worse if I had been a younger homeschooler.lol

Yes, I've been in that situtaion. I'm praying that you learn all the FAther has for you to learn in this season and that He brings special folks your way at the soonest possible time.

Praying.

Thanks De'Etta. It has been an amazing learning time for me. I don't think that I could've grown like this in Miami. I would've been way too busy to want to learn these lessons. I know that this season has helped my kids too. We've needed to be home this year and being up here has given us this time. It would be nice to find a like minded person here though. Swimming up stream all the time by yourself gets tiring.LOL
