SCHOOL DAZE (figured out how to put photos on THIS computer LOL)

The kids work on our model "t" car. We need to finish this. We got stuck! Well I THOUGHT they enjoyed this but look at Arielle's face. Hmmm....maybe she NEEDS more workbooks and less hands on. :::snort:::

Arielle finished her math workbook - guess I need to find another one. I thought I could pick another up at Sam's Club but they didnt' have any. Meanwhile, we ARE doing lots of math: Math Reasoning 1, Family Math, Math games, and lots of living books on math...but she wants a WORKBOOK.

Hooray Ariel! Hayley likes workbooks too. I found one called "The Complete Book of Math" grades 3-4 in Walmart (also saw it online at CBD and Amazon). Hayley is about gr 4 so I'm thinking your dd must be about gr. 3. Hayley likes this one because it's very colorful and has games in it too. It was $9.97...or something like that. It's quite a large workbook but for kids who like them...plenty of pages!

Jodi - thanks. That sounds like just the ticket. I wanted MATH and Sam's had "complete curriculum" but we don't need THAT. LOL

Is she throwing away the workbook? Do you know I have NEVER thrown ANYTHING of our oldest's away and she's a senior this year... no wonder my house is so cluttered!

Cindy....

We move every 2 - 3 years...last move we hit our weight limit and I relized that we don't need all the old workbooks. Would you believe I threw away the portfolios I had begun way back WHEN when you and I both did them.....and I thought Bre graduated 2 years ago - no has EVER wanted to see what field trips we did in 4th grade or a sample of her math from 1st grade....so I threw it all out. I asked them if we should save it...but they said to throw it out...so I did. LOL

Oh...QB...forgot to mention I also told the kids to WRITE in their workbooks! I was making them copy everything out so that I could use things over and over....shoot some of our wordly wise books have YELLOW pages they are so old. So this year...I told them "Dad got a promotion - write in your books!" ::snort::
