Couple of Photos:

Zander said, "Hey mom - look at me"...what a character. I suppose if one set of mouse ears is good - two must be better. I thought he was so funny I'll post the picture even with the closed eyes. LOL

Beatrix gets into the "mouse mood".

Zander is very cute...goes without saying, but I just love your dog (I am a dog lover). What kind is she?

Our dog is great! She's an Australian Shepherd/bassett hound mix....or at least that is what I THINK was determined. We got her at the pound. She'd been in a bad home and had a broken leg. She's Cy's dog. He fell in love with her. We've had her for 12 years...so she's 15 - 16 years old. They told us she'd never adjust to a family like ours - to many young kids...Cy was 5 when we got her and we had 5 children.

She was skittish the first few months but wow what a wonderful dog she's been. She used to go outside with the children and bark everytime they neared the fence. It was hilarious to watch Josiah (5) and Jamin (3) try to sneak out with her beside them. They'd tell her to "shh" and she'd bark and bark as soon as they neared about 5 feet of the fence. With Zander and Stacia she simply goes out with them....she's aging.

She has cataracts. She's not real spry any more but she is such a good sport. We've been thinking that she may not be with us for many more assignments....trying to sort of prepare the kids....we tend to think of life in terms of assignments. I keep thinking she has another 10 - 15 years but Mike says she's getting old for a dog.

She is adorable. You are very fortunate to have had her so long. I've had dogs my whole life and the oldest one was 16.
The dog we have now is a purebred. First one we've ever had. I love dog pound dogs. We also have taken other people's cast offs. It is amazing how many people get bored of their dogs!

Love it that your dog made it onto the blog...in costume no less! She's a cutie (as are the kids but I must comment on the dog!).
