THE GREAT CANTALOUPE CHALLENGE

(not sure where this post went....)

Yesterday, at co-op we had 13 shares. This made dividing a few of the veggies difficult. I decided to take 1 share of some of the veggies instead of 2 shares. I subbed for items of like value from the "extra" basket. I ended up taking more cantaloupe and pineapple.

At dinner, I mentioned that when Josiah was Jared's age he used to eat an entire melon at one sitting. I commented to Jared that we'd know he was a man when he could keep up with Josiah in cantaloupe consumption.

At the END of dinner, Josiah thumped Jared and said "C'mon, let's go!" Here's the show....

Jared/Josiah:

:) G'Pa and I sure do remember being around when Josiah would eat so much Cant's. If you really wanted any you had to get it first and fast or else WALA! Even knew some people to hide a whole cant just to protect it.

Josiah, glad to see that you can still live up to you image in this area. Jared, congrat's on keeping up with Josiah in this area.

I pick G'Pa up at 8:30 to ago to a retired Rexius breakfast and then he will come home to spend the day. Then on Sunday's he also gets to go to church and spend the day. He is now using a walker sometimes if the distance isn't to far. The Dr. is letting him put 30lbs of weight on the left side now. He sees the Dr. on the 14th and we hope the x-ray is promising.

Sis:

Thot I had mentioned the ankle. I tried to step over a back pack in an aisle and stumbled a little. BUT when I got to the end of the row of desks and turned a corner to continue passing out papers the whole foot bent and the ankle's horizontal tnedon's etc got real messed up and also something going up my outer leg. 1 1/2 weeks now. Looks funny to see Dad and I going places.

HOWEVER, today I am only going to be using the splint and no crutch or cane. Think by Monday I'll just have it braced with those sports ankle things.

OH! Guess which kids are the most polite in helping me with doors, or offering to carry my stuff, or being sure they don't bump me etc. THE RASKELS!! True that some of the ordinary kids offer to help but no where near the percdntage of the stink-pinks! I find that interesting!
