UPDATE

Stacia has been up since 2 a.m - it's 5 a.m. now. I have to be up and cooking by 6 a.m. I'm exhausted.

Zander woke up at 4 a.m and crawled into bed. Stacia was "pinging" so he told her "STACIA - you are so silly!" and kicked her and I out of my bed....

Checked on Arielle and she says her ear is "better". Becky told me how to make garlic oil, but now I can't remember if this is topical or supposed to go in the ear or WHAT. I went to webmd and printed off info on congestion and ear pain so I shoud be good to survive the day.

I had hoped we'd go to Christmas at the Fort sometime this weekend...but with the cold snap....2 children recovering and still with mild cold symptoms, 1 with ear ache and a young one with severe congestion.....we'll miss it again this year. The cool thing is that we'll be able to see it for the first time next year with Mike.

I'm guessing I'll go do breakfast at the chapel and be home the rest of the weekend with the children. Josiah can drive and will take the ones that are well to Sunday School so they can continue to practice for the play. Our RE is made up right now of 3 or 4 families....and so our children are really missed when they aren't there. ::snort::

Zander's having a coughing fit...Stacia is asleep...think I'll try for an hour of sleep before baking quiches. LOL

DOUBLE DIDGIT DAY - Mike informs me that we are now 99 days left of this seperation. I think it may be longer with travel time...but 99 is better than 180.

WOW, I think your RE might be as small as ours. We have six families but only 11 children (four of them are mine). In some ways the program is too small. We only have one child making First Communion this year so there is no separate class for him, his parents need to prepare him at home. We only have one for Confirmation (my 13yoson) so again there is no class. I am waiting for the teen Bibles to arrive so that he can get started on his extra studies.

((((De'Etta)))) I'm so sorry to hear that you have many sick and hurting little ones, and that you got virtually no sleep.

I don't know what happened to the toolbars, mine were gone last night too. I thought it might be on my end since we had a very bad storm come through and I left the computer on at the start of it (since I hadn't had a turn all day, LOL).

99 days, that's good, not good enough but almost halfway. Hoping it goes soon for you. Yes you'll have such a nice Christmas next year and be able to do all the things you're missing due to sickness or busyness this year.

You're making a recipe from one of the books for the breakfast, love it!

with all of your sick kids and lack of sleep I would have been seriously tempted to just go pick up something at the store and call it good. I'm sure everyone would have understood that you just can't function on no sleep for very long....sigh....

I am so sorry that your little ones are still not feeling well. And I'm sure the cold weather isn't helping at all.

I haven't been online much, so haven't noticed the the blog stuff is mixed up. Hope they get it straightened out soon.

99 does sound better than 180. We have always found that the days seem to go by slow, but the overall time goes quicker...make any sense?

Will be praying for your sanity and peace and for the children's health.

De"Etta-
Sorry to hear about the sickness running through your home. I will be praying!

One suggestion on the ear ache, if you have access to a natural store I would try and pick up some Sovereign Silver. It helps clear up most infections. Silver has helped me clear ear infections and sinus infections. It also helped my daughter kick out her ear infection.
http://www.natural-immunogenics.com/ Here is the website on the silver.

I would also suggest some Emergencee for the colds and also to prevent them for next time.

Blessings,
Laura J.

Honest - I know it sounds like I was busy but those errands yesterday were for more meds and books to read.

The breakfast was FUN...I know this sounds bad but remember I have no adult to tag team with at home right now...so really I enjoyed getting out for a couple of hours....I knew the kids would sleep for most of the time and Jamin had orders to call if they were fussy.

As for the lack of sleep - that happens with sick kids...it's going to pass within another week. Jamin made me promise to take a nap this afternoon - and that's where I'm going now....really my life is MUCH less hectic than it usually is this time of the year. I have no squadron parties to attend! ::snort::

Oh the quiche was excellent and easy to fix. I have enough left for dinner tonight for the kids. Muffins baking during the movie....the dirty secret is that I HAVE to do something while we watch movies or I fall asleep. ::snort::

I'm sure getting out would be great, but maybe the others could let you off the hook as far as bringing stuff.... I'm sure that would be an added blessing since your dh isn't around right now.

Renee,

Yes, our RE is very small. Let's see....consistently, I think there are 11 - 7 of them ours. BUT some Sundays there are 8 or 9 extras.

I'm not sure what is going on right now in our chapel....we had built up from 30 - 90 in the 11:00; from 8 - 30 in the 2:00 and from 15 - 70 in the 6:00. The earlier two services have gone down to original numbers in the past few months. Since the 6:00 service is students that means that the family programs have gone down as well because we simply aren't seeing lots of families in the first two services.

Cindy,

Ivey would have been glad to let me off the hook - but I didn't want to do that to her. I enjoy doing things with Ivey. She's just turned 70 and has so much wisdom for me to glean from. She already took care of Ladies Bible Study for me this past week. LOL

I truly find baking enjoyable and socializing is good too....so really the only hard part of the whole thing was the fact that the kids didn't sleep well last night. LOL

Oh De'Etta - I'm so sorry that everyone is sick! I've been behind with our own ick so I'm just catching up on blogs. I hope that everyone is back to feeling well very soon. Get some rest!

Double digits are great! Yea!

DeEtta,
Maybe numbers are down at chapel services because that great chaplain isn't there? :)
