I am hardly ever sick. I had the flu - which morphed into a runny nose - and now I'm simply congested...sinus infection type congested on one side of my face. Mike and I were going to go camping last night - alone. Instead, I spent about 14 hours in bed. I'm doing tea tree oil steams, taking a decongestant....Mike thinks I need to snort salt. I think that may make me gag - but I'm going to try it.
We plan on camping again next week. I'm open for suggestions for favorite camping meals....My head hurts too much to think......NOTHING sounds good to me right now. LOL
Cy got a package in the mail today......Oh, he also was told that Chick Fil A is sending him to Atlanta for a big manager seminar....he's pretty excited.

Praying for you Sis...Symptoms match what we had...ick...Salt snorts did help shorten the life of it for me and I slept in dd's room w/vapor plug...though I prefer the humidifier, it was in ds's room.

Oh yuck, I don't think you should snort salt, LOL! Sorry to hear you've been sick. Looks like you all have had a fun time since Mike's been home, lots of fun pictures. Wow, Josiah looks all grown up in his cap and gown! How exciting that he will be going to a managers conference at his young age.

We just ordered Amanda's cap/gown today! WHOO HOO! I can't believe our first will graduate in just a few shorts weeks.

I've snorted salt water twice today...I'm not sure it is helping....my teeth ache, my head aches, my face aches...yeah I know...lots of cheap shots from that comment. LOL
I really NEED this to go away....tomorrow is very busy and then I'll sleep again in the afternoon.....
Darshia, remembering YOUR dh (is in the medical field) and you used salt water made me more receptive to Mike's plan...though I'll never look at a straw the same. ::snort::
Hmm...I remember that painful face/head part of the junk...I added Dimetapp Cold & Allergy for temp. relief during the worst of it. Truly, the salt does a great job and if you taste it draining down the back of your throat (I know-it's gross) it's getting to the places it needs to be. Hang in there and keep geting as much rest as you can. Sooo glad Mike is home to assist.
Isn't it a sinus infection rather than congestion?
Antibiotics would deal with that pretty effectively. It would start to feel better within 12 hours.
