Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Another Outlaw in the Family

Arielle wanted to teach Zander math today. She did. They had a blast. Then he wanted her to read some books to him. They read for a good 40 minutes.

Stacia likes Arielle to read to her. I heard her say, “Arielle, read me” and “Please read me”. Arielle told her to wait until she was done reading to Zander. She tried to take Zander’s book. I stepped in and told her no. She ran out of the room in tears.

About 5 minutes later she came back into the room, dragging Arielle’s pink back-pack. She headed for the back door and said, “I go now.” I know it is terrible, her face was tear streaked….but I couldn’t help it….I really can’t help myself. Blogging is a disease…but I really needed to take a last photo of her before she hit the outlaw trail!

Her bag was FULL of BOOKS! ::snort:: We hugged, snuggled, cuddled and read books.

Aren't you the same mom who ran for the camera when she was stuck in the cabinet? LOL
That is the cutest story. How wonderful that Arielle has made reading so happy for her.
BTW, Why to go on dinner Arielle. What a fabulous young lady you are becoming.

Arielle & Stacia:

It sure sounds like you all have a lot of neat things to do for fun. Sure hope I get to sit and read some to you all. What fun!

Stacia, glad you did no "go" cuz G'Pa & I would sure hate playing with and reading to you when we visit later this month.

love you tons, and praying for you.

It's nice to know there is another Mom out there like me. I have pics of red marker faced kids screaming. Toilet seat stuck on head. First major head knot, etc... Their drama provides Blog material for us!
I enjoyed meeting and visiting with you Monday. God Bless You and Yours. For all those who give negative comments on your large family remember there are people like me who are almost jealous. I think if hadn't been for waiting til we were in our 30's to start a family and Tom's diabetes etc... we would have kept going. I just feel Blessed that God granted me my hope for 4 children by giving me 2 on the 3rd pregnancy. Take care. See you Monday. Amy Kerr

De'Etta you are not alone in your quest for those perfect shots.

Love that she packed all those books.

Arielle, you are being such a tremendous help...helping Zander, reading to the little ones and making dinner! What a blessing you are!

LOL When Sawyer was 2 1/2 he packed his little suitcase with his pajamas, teddy bear, blanket, a couple of Hot Wheels and his favorite bedtime storybook (Tales from the Thicket), then announced, "I'm going to live with Miss Christy!" (the nextdoor neighbor). I grabbed the camera, said, "Ok ~ 'bye! I love you!" and snapped a pic of him leaving the front porch. Then I frantically called Christy on the phone. He stayed at Christy's for 2 nights! LOL

Just so you know, being an Outlaw isn't all bad. I was one for 19 years. :-)

Now see Trish - I've never actually had one of them really leave....they just threaten it now and again.

Hmmm...Jen not sure what you mean by the comment - I may need to hear this story.

That's so sweet. Our little one likes it when one of the older two read to him as well. And our ds has started helping our youngest with his math!

Oh, bless Stacia's heart!Where on earth did she get the idea to go?!

DeEtta @ Courageous Joy said...

Kristine,

A few days earlier Zander had that giant meltdown when I threw laundry on him - there was a LOT of talk that day about leaving the family.....so possibly that is where she got the idea. I don't know - at 2 years 4 months, she still doesn't tell us all that goes on in her mind! Well - she TELLS us we don't understand her!
