Jamin's White Piece of Paper

In keeping with Zander's excitement over the "awesomeness" of white pieces of paper.....I took a photo of Jamin with his first receipt for gas. I'm not sure how we let him drive a month without providing him the joy of buying a tank of gas. ::snort::

Well, in my defense, I think all the gas I put into the car has made up for that.

It was fun, except for figuring out to get the gas cap off at first. "Hey, why don't I look for something near the steering wheel to make the gas cap open." :)

Jamin: Hang in there someday you will get to go grocery shopping with a new wife.... This was G'Pa's shocker of his life...our first grocery shopping trip to Safeway on 18th in Eugene. Of course I had to buy everything for the 1st time like flour, sugar, spices and on/on. Poor Dad about had a heart attack when the total bill came to $59.99. One ole' guy asked Dad if we were buying the whole store. Back in 1960 that was.

At least gas is cheap now so he can ease into buying gas!
