Baa Baa Black Sheep

These painted sheep can be found all over town. I can't remember the exact phrase but it means we are the BIG SHEEP folks in America. It's our claim to fame. LOL That and the famous courthouse in the background. ::snort:: I love the details on the sheep.
In Anchorage we loved the painted salmon all over town.

We have painted horses all over town. They were made for a fund raiser and then ended up all over town after businesses bought them. Is that how yours started?

School suggestion...
Have your kiddos write down the texts that they are currently using. Even if you unschool- there are books that you use to reference. Bring some of the work that they have done with you. Think- Portfolio.
I don't know what the schoolsign off is- but I know lots of people who have moved overseas in the past who homeschool. (They are all retired now- so they wouldn't be actual help to you this time).
Good luck.
Prayers follow you in this fun transition. Living overseas is always worth it- IMHO. :>)

I haven't had much time for blogs or email lately (as far as I can tell I won't have much time for the next 20 years or so--however do you keep up?) but I wanted to let you know I am praying for your family during this hectic/stressful time.
And a random though, have you considered getting one of Amazon's Kindle readers to take to Japan? I don't know how many of the books you would want are available for it, but it could solve some of the books/shipping/space/weight issues that might come up...

We've seen moose and bears in VT and near Saratoga, horses. I love these painted animals.

Wool and Mohair Capital. Well, use to be, supposedly. Anyway, I do like them too. It's fun to drive around and find new ones here and there.
Awe I just got the famous courthouse comment. The FLDS trials last year. ::Duh:: I was trying to think when our courthouse was in a movie ::HA::
Trying to keep up with blogs and such. Been crazy.
You asked about the St. Patrick picture on my blog. I uploaded it just like we do all the others. It was a collage picture I made on Shutterfly. I have the Shutterfly software uploaded on my computer.

In the capital city of NC we have painted wolves all over town. I remember when they first started appearing it was a game with my oldest to see how many we could find. Funny how you have sheep and we have wolves! I love reading your blog. I am a fellow TOG user and military wife. Thanks for your realness and encouragement. Becky

Great suggestion, Jeanette.

Kindle reader - I see that on amazon but haven't spent the time to look at the add. I'll have to look into it.

WOOL and MOHAIR - there it is. LOL Thanks for the tip on the header, Amy. Next time I have a bit of time to play....

Wow - there are painted animals across America. ::snort::

Becky - thanks for YOUR kind words.
