Bag Lady

I need a big purse...because I have a notebook/calendar/wallet...and a book....phone...camera...various forms and notebooks... I bought a slouch bag - and it worked. BUT things were always lost in there, and when I plop it down things were ALWAYS falling out.

My favorite purse was a small backpack leather thing...but then again things were always falling out of it.....A week ago.....I remembered the joy of diaper bags.....and so.... I tried it out.

This worked...and if I wanted to pull out the wallet and leave the backpack it was "ok". I could also set it by the machines at the gym and have my book and glasses handy without a purse spilling personals all over the floor. I wasn't real fond of the PWOC logo - not sure why. We don't have fish on our cars either.....it felt sort of "something".... but I wanted to be sure that I would like a backpack before I looked for one. I also discovered this was PLENTY big - a bit too big for everyday.

Today I got one for "Sunday" - you know - the Pastor's Wife look. What do you think?

You can't see but it's about 1/2 the size of the black one. It has more pockets so that everything is organized...and I have my eye on a full-size backpack that will fit my laptop too. ::snort::

What does it say about me that there are such BIG things going on in my life and I'm thrilled with a new backpack? ::snort::

I've never been fond of backpacks, but I agree about needing a bigger bag these days...still searching.

I like the look and I often think that when life gets a bit crazy for us we amuse ourselves with things like backpacks and other seemingly ordinary things. I'm sure it is a coping mechanism...at least for me.

Ahh, it means that you can enjoy the "small" things in life as well as the big. Not all people can say that! Like the new bag!

Sis: Agree with Debbie...... just a way to relieve stress. Something fun and not life changing.

I like both. I like the black cus it seems dressy to me and I like the other one a lot.

You're looking great! l/p Mom T.

It seems to me that finding a solution to a small problem can help relieve some of the stress associated with all the big problems that can't be solved right away.

I don't carry a purse or bag or backpack of any sort. I keep everything I may need in the car and just grab what I need when I go in somewhere.. just my wallet to the grocery store, just my laptop to the church, just my notebook to co-op, etc... The girls keep trying to get me to use a purse, but I'm just not fond of them. Glad you found something that'll work for you.

Oh, I'm a big fan of backpacks on family outings. But I'm always happy that Jamie volunteers to carry it! {g} I just have a shoulder bag. It does get rather heavy on my shoulders though.

Just noticed the Japanese lady on the right! LOL!

Isn't she cute, Dorothy? I thought it would be good for us to check in and see the temp in Misawa to compare with what is going on HERE>....sort of advance prep work. ::snort::
