*The Crepes of Wrath* - Tamar Myers

I finished this book week before last but never got around to listing it.

This book provides a little more insight into the Amish and Mennonite communities. I’m quite sure, however, that this is not a totally “normal” portrayal of those communities. This was another wacky, Penn Dutch Inn mystery. Mags seems to be drifting towards being as eccentric as her sister. {G}

One little twist in this book that I loved was when Dr. Rosen mentions to Mags that he’s reading a great book by his favorite mystery author named Ramat Sreym. He recounts that she grew up in the Belgian Congo and has written a wonderful memoir. It was “at least as good as *Angela’s Ashes*. Alas, Ramat was unable to get her memoir published until she left a veiled plea in one of her mystery books for her fans to write her publisher and request that they publish the book. {bg} I, personally would love to read a book about Tamar growing up in the Belgian Conga as a missionary kid. I may write the publisher.

ugh... don't mention Angela's Ashes... :) that was the Final Jeopardy question that Scott missed on his 2nd day on Jeopardy... I read it (after the fact) and it was soooooo depressing.
