FRIDAY –
This has been an incredibly busy week. I’m not really sure WHY….but it has been.
Today was produce co-op. I ordered WAY less than I usually do and then the company messed up and didn’t put a case of apples that I’d ordered on the truck so it didn’t look like much at all today. Jamin even said, “you didn’t buy any LETTUCE?” Maybe two weeks of less produce will spur everyone to pick up their produce consumption again.
I picked up my 6 gallon buckets for grain and such today.
We drove out to Robert Lee and picked up the van. It is equipped with black box – just like an airplane. When it acts up, I push a little button …wait 30 seconds and turn the key off and then back on. That will give them the info of what was going on to the van before and right after it looses power. I’m really praying that it acts up SOON.
It’s been HOT here….like 100* and over type of hot.
We did head over to John and Melody’s this afternoon. I took the 4 younger ones to play with Noah, Shiloh and Rowan. Mike tried to help John fix their old washing machine. They were going to sell it if they got it working – but it was stubbornly silent.
I made skedaddle (fiddle faddle popcorn) for the boys this evening. I honestly don’t know what’s been so busy…..we did have three play dates this week….we don’t usually get to spend time with Tricia, Debbie or Melody and their kids….and that WAS a goal. {smirk} We didn ‘t pay it to the pool 3x this week – we did go twice – in the same day….I doubt we’ll go swimming tomorrow. I want to get the house done. Mike is thinking of trying to fix the AC on the Honda – I so hope it can be fixed. It’s essential down here.
Breanne called from Boston. It sounds like she’s had a good birthday. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that the kids hadn’t talked to her yet and so she talked to me and hung up. They didn’t get to say Happy Birthday or sing to her.
I called Dad tonight. It looks like he may go home on Monday. Tonight my niece is graduating. My sil graduates from college this weekend too. Big weekend in our family. There are times I really wish we lived closer to family…..

It is hot there, De'Etta. It is only 46* here right now and I forgot to close the bedroom windows last night! Thankfully Doug was home and kept the bed warm :) We have a garage sale today, the high is 66, and I just put on jeans and a long-sleeved tee. Brrr....where is summer anyway? At least it isn't raining :)
You are incredibly busy! I want to make the popcorn. How do you pop it? In a pan with oil? I think the kids would love it.
Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog. I would love to be to the place in my heart that I am getting to in my mind about weight not being important. Because right now I feel consumed with it and that is not a good place to be. I am discouraged and frustrated. Crazy! I'm glad you don't think of me in the same way my husband does :snort:
How much longer until the girls come home? How long will they be home?

The girls graduate 6 Aug and we'll be there. They have to be back mid September - I think it is.
