BUSY! Today was the parish volunteers’ appreciation dinner. We volunteered to help Miss Ivey get tables set up and such during the 11:00 service. Things all came together, it looked very nice and it was a nice meal catered by Johnny Carinnos (hmmm that’s not quite right).
We ran the kids home after the dinner. Mike, Stacia and I ran out to the airport to meet our new Chaplain Candidate. He’ll be here for about a month. This is a program that lets folks in seminary go active duty during the summer and gain some “on the ground” training.
This evening was the Contemporary service. We continue to really enjoy our time in there. It went a bit long tonight – but it was fun.
