This worked really well last week. We didn't eat even ONE lunch or dinner out until Sunday. We chose Applebees - trying new places we've not been. We weren't thrilled. Seems we eat a lot of salad...I need to make a note to get some other veggies for those who don't like salads. Of course, we're already off because I didn't get meatballs done before it was time to go meet the truck tonight. Oh well....we didn't eat out.

Now see, if we all start making menus for the week, we can trade with each other and only have to do a menu every few weeks.LOL

I'm glad to hear that it's working for your family and I'm so thankful to hear that your migraine has finally gone! I will keep praying for you while you go through testing.

Blessings,

Lisa

I am glad you are feeling better! I am awaiting a freezer (ours didn't survive the move). I do have an extra refridgerator though but not enough freezer space.

Where do you get your organic turkey?

There is a farm down from us and we had thoughts of buying a 1/2 cow etc.

still praying for ya!

I keep thinking that i want to do a menu of the week and keep forgetting. Now I'll be seeing them on everyone's blogs and it'll remind me. A gal at Tae Kwon Do was writing out her monthly menu last week and I commented on what a great idea it was. She said....I don't ever really follow it but I like making up a menu.... I was totaly roflol and probably even a snort or two. I could see me doing that too since I like the idea of it. The trouble would be putting it into practice!

Jodi-

LOL! Now see, that's why I make mine basic. I'll have 5 main ingredients that I'll plan for. For me, that's usually 4 meats and 1 bean. Then I'll buy ingredients that will add to that main ingredient but not hem me in too much. Like if I decide on Spaghetti, I'll buy ground beef, sauce, and noodles but I'll also make sure that I have on hand, mozzarella cheese, parm cheese, and maybe some cottage cheese. Now on "spaghetti night" I'll decide what kind of spaghetti I feel like. Do I want baked? or regular? or sometimes I'll decide I just want the noodles with butter, garlic, and parm cheese and I'll save the sauce for another week.LOL As long as I have staples, I can still follow a menu but have some creative license. The clincher is not to run to the store for different ingredients. Make only what you have in stock. So if I didn't have any garlic on hand and didn't want to use powdered, then I'd have to use sauce.

HTH!

Jodi - a bit menu doesn't work for me becuase my life is unpredictable...but having enough options for a week is working well - I can mix and match and if we don't eat them that's fine - but if we want to eat - the options are there. LOL

Beth - I think I answered this somewhere else - but in case I didn't - Shop Natural.com is where I get the turkey.
