SATURDAY

We've had a cool front move in - or something. It is supposed to get down to 30* tonight. That is COLD here. The houses aren't insulated like they are in the North or AK.

Nolan, Zander, Jamin and I headed out this a.m. to buy groceries for the week. Just a few things to fill out our menu. We got home and had lunch and then...

We took advantage of the cool to go outside and play. First, we spent an hour at the park with Adrienne and her children. They had an hour to blow on this side of town. Then the kids and I headed over to a local school. This whole area were fields when we moved in a year ago...now there is a neighborhood springing up...but in the evenings and weekends the parking lot and play areas of the school are empty. The kids love to set up and play street hockey.

Stacia and Zander like the play structures more than hockey.

We were all cold when we got home. I made a wonderful soup with fresh veggies, sauce and roast left from earlier in the week and kidney beans. The Italian spiced bread I made yesterday was a great compliment to the soup. We ended the night watching *Chariots of Fire*. The older three boys have been reading Eric Liddell biographies....one by the Benges for Jared and *God's Joyful Runner* for Cy and Jamin.

Stacia was worn out and fell asleep at 8:00 p.m. I'm heading there myself....praying she will sleep better tonight. Two teeth are nearly through...the other two are toying with her.

Hi De'etta! It looks like you guys are having fun. I've tried twice to email you, but I haven't gotten a response. Has you address changed? Or are you just extremely busy (I'm sure you are :). Anyway, just thought I'd let you know we're doing OK. I'm heading back to internet isolation tomorrow, but I'll try to check back in soon.

Your homemade soup sounds so good. I love making soups this time of year. I need to put a soup on my menu for next week.

Stacia looks like she is feeling much better. Your day sounds wonderful. We had tons and tons of rain. The boys are all at a youth retreat this weekend. Doug and I went to a produce store I heard about. I got 7 huge sacks of produce for $48. Yep, my new favorite store!

We're wanting to watch Chariots of Fire and cannot find it anywhere. I am going to have to break down and join Netflix in January.

What a great day! We also like to go to our local school after hours...they have great playgound equipment.

So glad that Stacia is doing better. Hope she slept for you lastnight.

You soup sounds yummy. In the winter, we have soup at least once a week...a family favorite and it helps shoo away the cold.

Hope you get a warm up soon, yep 30 is cold especially when you're not used to it. Soup is sure just the right thing for tired and or cold days. I'll pray that Stacia's teeth will hurry up.

Sis: Seems to me tht you are having a very busy and great time. As to cold.....brrrr... here it is that and wet and we would prefer to be in the tropics if we have to have this much rain.

Got an email from Bre about the camera so guess they are home safe and sound. Bet they had snow.

Hope Stacia and you got plenty of sleep lastnight.
