It's getting shorter!
Our Advent Countdown Candle...
I finally gave up on the pillar candle that. I burned that thing for a week, blowing it out only at night, and it never did really BURN.....other than down the middle. LOL Tapers work much better! You can see some of the lines on the candle.

Thanks! My motto is "when in doubt go back to myspace"...the DO have cool templates and graphics and such for free.

I should see if any of the templates would transfer to blogger...they have some great ones. I havne't found the great blogger templates you talk about.

I sent you another email telling you where they are at... I sent you 3 or 4 at about 3:00 a.m. did you not get them all? Just incase you didn't, I'll tell you here that if you send me the info I'll do the ticker thing for you like I have at the bottom of mine.

I love you the "Embrace Christ" graphic. BTW, I am trying to figure out what to do this week with Jotham as well. It seems like a lot to read seven days worth of reading on Christmas Eve with all of the other stuff we have going on. Two days worth each day this week sounds like a good idea. Thanks!

I love your candle idea. I'm going to write that down someplace so I can be prepared next year.

It look so lovely with the pinecones.

If you burn a pillar candle and push the upper part in toward the wick when its good and warm / soft, then your pillar will burn evenly. I just happened to do this after a Partylite friend told me about it. No more candle tubes@

Lis,

I do this with partylite candles and it works great. It works well with most...but with this one...I "hugged" the wax, pushed and such and it simply was ugly. I even took a knife and cut inches off several times....I bured it for 10 hours at a time...it just didn't want to be our advent countdown candle. LOL

Debbie - it is a fun countdown for the little ones.....ok, some of us big ones too. GET TAPERS. One year my in laws had given me really pretty, swirly candles...the kind with the wax carved and curling down....we kept them all year as pretties and then used them for our advent candles...those were cool.
