Blustery Days

Jamin spent the blustery day in the kitchen...and I was happy to let him do so! ::snort::
He made cookies (choc chip/cashew/whole grain).
He made Fiddle Faddle.

He made these little bread rolls with pastrami in the middle.

He made pizzas for dinner.

Mike worked on computers. Jared read Dilbert. The youngers played some game with dinosaurs and cowboys and soldiers....

Stacia kept changing clothes - not always with good results.

We played.

Stacia seems to be cute no matter what she is doing! Sounds like a great day. Jamin and I agree on the fact that some days one just has to make a lot of sweet stuff. Of course I don't use good sugar but............

Amy's dog was healed and lived. The Vet had told her it would be dead by morning unless she had $800. Sherri had he put her hands on the dogs head, and then prayed while standing in a line at the LA Airport. We talked to Amy and I said we would be praying and.......... the dog is fine.

Nathaniel/Heather had their new beagle puppy over. The two played so cute but of course Millie, the 9 week old pup, far outweighs Tyson, the 9 month mini-mini-mini dog. Was fun watching them.

The cooking is amazing!! Aren't you so blessed to have a child in the home (especially after seeing two daughters go off to school) who likes to cook. Did he choose those things or did you direct him? He has a real passion for cooking. I love it! So fun to watch it develop.

I did *not* direct Jamin's passion to cook. He's always been sort of obsessive about his likes. At one point it was cleaning - wow - he would clean non stop. I'm not sure when he decided he liked to cook. He never cooked before the girls left home...but now he loves to cook. I think in part, because he saw that they were a huge help to me...and also because its something we can do together..... and I in turn took up strength conditioning to have something in common with one of his passions. So much of raising youth is finding common passions so that you can naturally have lots of time to talk.
