Day 3 Continued

The Not So Great Salt Lake - not to far from the GREAT Salt Lake
Morton factory and salt hills in the salt flats - the white in the background is a mountain of salt.... Playing in the Salt Flats - While we had no takers this trip to SWIM in the Great Salt Lake, Mike couldn't resist stopping on the side of the interstate and letting everyone taste and play. It was a grand idea and we saw other RV's up the road doing the same thing. Mike's a trendsetter!

Message left by Jared - God Rocks
Jamin left a message about a salt free diet. ::snort:: Hey McDonalds has great salads and fruit....Zander can't eat it...but I'm eating it. Um....oh the fruit has "bht" added for freshness. ARGH.

Sis:

Sure looks hot! Remember the time you, your first 4 kids, and I drove to Montana from Lancaster, Calif. We sure got good treatment at that one hotel and gas station.......... the old station wagon and etc. :):)

Are you sure about the fruit? The fast food guide says you can eat the fruit, but not the nuts, which have the BHT. I have been eating the fruits and salads, so I hope the FF guide is right!

Yes - its the nuts that have the non-FG thing in them...but I don't like the idea of the fruit wash to keep the fruit "fresh" either...that isn't a FG thing - that's a ME thing. LOL

Love the pictures.

You would think it would be easier to get "good" food on the road with so many trying to eat healthy now. Hopefully some better options will show up for you on the next stretch.

Jodi - I have been surprised at the good options at fast food spots....its just that I'd rather have a naked apple than one coated in whatever....but I'm eating my produce....

We would stop at nice restaurants but we really want the children to be able to play when we stop.
