Fun Friday

Produce co-op.

Swimming - we'd not gone at all this week. The children deserved a treat.

I busily printed photos of Stacia's first year...but didn't finish before I had to leave the house. Tonight was PWOC's Project night on base. I decided to keep working on transferring old photos to a new album. My friend, Debbie, was uninspired with her project and so she helped me take photos out of my magnetic albums. I got the second album transferred and all the pages are out of the 3rd album. I've arrived in Liberia, West Africa.

BTW - this is part of my Scrapbook Challenge thingy. I hope to be able to make more progress now that I have a whole album of photos removed from the magnetic album and ready to transfer. Sherri, another friend, attended tonight. She sells Creative Memory and was laughing at my old tape runners. I have BOXES of these....but using hers quickly helped me decide to pitch all of them and buy a new one. ::snort:: Wow - much quicker with a decent tape runner. Mine aren't THAT old - I sold from 2003 - 2005.

That's it for the day.

You inspire me to do more scrabooking. I'm just too tired to actually respond. :)

It sounds likes you've gotten a lot done! You're having a very productive summer. That's great!

Well - I'm not REALLY scrapbooking. I'm redefing those "scrapbooks" into PHOTO ALBUMS and I'm getting a lot done...but I have a huge shelf of magnetic albums to get transferred to safe albums.....and really when I watch how long it takes others to find the right paper, the right sticker, cut this, trim this, glue that....and get 2 - 3 pictures in an album....I'm convinced I'm going to do it this way at LEAST until I'm caught up.

My wrists are acting up and it's more important to us to get the photos in an album and journaled than it is to have it "scrapped"....I want this done.

It's all about what YOU want. The important thing is the photos being in a safe album and some journaling to tell about the photos. Sounds like you're on a ROLL! I'm glad the challenge motivated you to get going. That's what it was designed to do! So far I think it's worked for everyone but me (LOL)

Keep plugging away at those old albums, De'etta. Later you can always go back and do something different with them, but at least you are getting them into safe albums.

Keep up the good work.

Sis:

At the tea/bible study at Ruthie B's antique place yesterday the ladies were/are trying to get me to join them with a bunch of others on their scrapbooking.... It's a bit overwhelming but I may go just to see and to fellowship. They would probably all faint away if they saw what all I have after 45 years of marriage plus all the stuff even before we married.

Think another year of doing nothing may be the thing to do and hit it hard next summer. :(
