Jared, our budding photographer, took this photo. We've had some great thunder storms the last couple of nights. We are hoping for a really big one later on in the night. We had "some" rain and some fireworks earlier on. We are still new enough to TX that we love to go outside and watch. Tonight we had a dark blue sky on one side - with a rainbow crossing it - and yellow/orange skies to the North.

The boys called today. Yippee. They had seen two grizzlies, numerous whales and eagles. They are enjoying being back in AK. They both report that Hoonah is pretty. I wonder if they are going to try to talk Mike into retiring there. They have begun building the parsonage for the Assembly of God church there. They were on their way to a 2nd of July parade...it seems the mayor is going to be out of town on the 4th. LOL

I spent the afternoon reading a bit in *Age of Opportunity* and *House*. Oh yes....I got three books from PBS yesterday. A Dana Stabenow mystery (worth a try) and *2* copies of The Excellent Wife. I listed one of the copies and already have a home to mail it to tomorrow. {G}

Zander was handful at church tonight. I suspect the "children's drink" that I let them make for him at The Chicken Farm yesterday. sigh. I really wonder how we are going to travel for a prolonged time with him and these food issues. I do o.k. if we are HOME and not out and about but I simply miss things when we are out. I have to train myself to be constantly vigilant....I can't relax my watch.

Beautiful photo!

Re travelling with Zander, does Fiengold put out any books about that, restaurants in various parts of the country....You may well need to pack a box or two of non perishable food and drinks which work for him when you travel. Plus look for the less evil of what's on offer. Though it sounds like even a little bit of the wrong things really affects him.

Maybe you got 2 copies of the excellent wife because you need more help than most...just kidding!!!

Hope you get plenty of all the neat creatures you are seeing. Sounds like you are having an awesome fourth! :D

Awesome picture of the sky! Sadly, our sky looks like that 70% of the time. We got stormed out of the waterpark after 2 1/2 hours. Oh well, we were there longer than it took to drive there and back (2 hours).

So, how are you liking House? I didn't get it until the end lol. I am really enjoying Age of Opportunity. I put it in the bathroom so I can make slow and steady progress :)

I'm glad the boys called and are enjoying AK. Do ya'll miss it? I'd love to visit there. Not sure I could handle those winters.

Well....Doug is home early tonight "yippee". Isaac went to bed at 6:45!!! That boys is growing! Allen is getting tucked in and Jordan is at Gramma's house. So....I better scoot *g*.

Kelly - I'm enjoying House. I think I'm getting but having to figure out deep meanings to books sort of takes away from my fun....maybe that's why I like mysteries...no deep messages hidden within. LOL

Jodi - yeah - I thought of that Excellent Wife possibility myself. :::snort::: Alas, I've already mailed the second copy to a new home.
