Saturday

1. Student thanksgiving shindig at the base. Nolan went with me. He enjoyed playing with friends while I helped. Things were going so smoothly that I left after about an hour.

2. Nolan and I popped over to the BX. We happened upon a sale. 20% coupon off for today and two more for Sunday. They have to be used before noon and "one per customer". Tomorrow they will be giving away gift cards to the first 20 customers....we may try for it. I plan to go back and get Bre and Krista's gifts tomorrow...if they didn't sell out today. 20% off brings a better item down to local prices and there are no taxes on base....win/win.

3. The boys were going to work on lights. They got them all out and tested.

4. The boys were able to meet with friends (Scottie, Mikey and Matthew) to go paint balling. They then went out to Steve and Debbie's to hang out and have pizza. Josiah came home early to go to work.

5. Steve brought Jared and Jamin home. They and Mikey played some more while he tried to fix the crashed computer. No go. The info is there but you simply can't access a thing. He thinks we are at the "wipe and reboot" stage...but I really don't want to loose all my info on that computer. sigh.

6. While the boys were out the littles and I headed to Lowes. They were out of the giant lighted nativity I wanted. LOL They also did not have the hangers we need to put the lights up.

7. We went to Home Depot.

8. We went to Hobby Lobby.

9. I wrapped Mike's Christmas gifts. I got a package of goodies ready for the girls. I got a package ready to mail to mom. I will have to find boxes for Mike's gifts...flat rate isn't working this time.

10. Zander has gotten increasingly red and stuffed up. He can't breathe.

11. Cy got home from work at 11:30. For some reason his trac phone won't let him call out...he has a zillion minutes on it. I hate computer troubles.

I'm sorry your little ones aren't feeling well. We had that last week. Hopefully it will be over quickly.

Sorry Alex isn't feeling well...

Before you wipe and reboot the HD, there may be another option. My parents had this happen and I think they found a company in Canada that was able to extract and save their info. before the wipe and reboot option was applied. I'll keep you posted.

I'm in the info gleaning mode at present, Darshia. I don't plan to wipe and reboot at any rate until Mike is home to do it. I can't stand the thought of loosing all my records and such on the other computer.

I may call Computer Geeks this week and see what they suggest. But NO ONE will wipe the hard drive at this point....I'm content to let it sit. Steve can see the info - so it's still there. LOL

Sis: W\ow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I had a chance to read your blog.

Love all the foto's and so does Dad. I print and take the stuff to him each night.

CUYA...sure looks like Josiah is being a good older brother. Next it will be Jamin's turn. Know what you mean about kids leaving home. :) :(:(

Stacia and her one finger pointing reminds me of you and according to my Mom me. She is sure showing early that he mind is a sharp one and so hang on..........

I need the the rec. for pie crust. I need it to be real easy. I agree with you that except for a good lemon and a good pecan pie there is not much to about pies. blah!

Bet Arielle is going to end up a big help and good cook. Love the Alexander remark about "God is not there." Sounds like you had a greeat day other than 3 missing members. It sure felt good on this end to have Dad home all day. I really don't mind the extra work at all.

Nathaniel is coming by today to help me get the ton of Christmas boxes down from the atic. I can move them but not bring some of them down the ladder myself. I don't think I will be able to get the house lights up though. We'll see. I have a couple of new nativities I got at one of the 2nd hand places I frequent.

I thought Stacia and/or Arielle would like those pink cups.

Anyway Dad is home today. Went to church, ate out with Jim Brown who paid for it all. Will take him back tonight.

School tomorrow and so.....

love you all, praying for you all,
