Our low today was 12. :-) Quite the reintroduction to the north for my soon to be exTX parents! LOL

WOW. that *IS* cold for you guys. We are 10 degrees warmer and an hour earlier than you (LOL)! Sun hasn't even begun to peek through yet this a.m. and it's well above freezing. I think we might have to attempt some more outdoor Christmas lights today.

Got a good laugh out of feeling WARM yesterday at 38*...just last week I bought ear muffs and mittens when it was 58* for my bike ride. LOL

wow, that is cold for anywhere! I have agree about not going out. I don't mind exercising in the cold temps, but that is a bit too cold.

Are your homes set up for that cold of weather down there? Do you have central heat and such. Sorry if that is a silly question. I just had visions of frozen pipes and other nasty cold weather things.

Debbie - we have central heat but LITTLE insulation.....frozen pipes is a real concern...and hoping Mike isn't reading comments....but we thought we had our underground sprinker system OFF and Cy blew it out etc...but it turned ON at 4 a.m. That's not good. We wrapped pipes, leave a little trickle going, open cupboard doors and laundry room doors....bathroom doors...not sure what else to do but yes...this is a bit of a problem down here when it gets this cold.
