MARVELOUS MONDAY

~I woke up and it was cold and icy. . . and raining. Jamin thought that it was a BAD idea to go biking - and I agreed. However, I will not let my CWLS friends down...and so I dug out an OLD Becky Tirabassi Step video.

~Yes, I did *Thoroughly Fit*. A few months ago I got rid of all my workout videos because I really HATE using videos and it's hard to do with little ones hanging on your ankles.BUT this a.m. it worked GREAT (maybe because I was so grateful to have an option that kept me INSIDE!). I was glad I'd not parted with this one. I holed up in my room, hooked it all up, and was done before the littles woke up. Now - if I can continue to do THAT I could make the exercise video thing work. I do not have a step these days....but I managed to be-bop around enough to get my heart rate up to the maximum for my age. What a HOOT! The last time I did this I was in the 20-30 age range. ::snort:: AND then I knew all the moves... and could SEE the screen to tell what I was supposed to be doing. This video has a warm up, 3 different aerobic segments and toning at the end. I tried to use a box for a step but ended up squashing the box. ::snort:: ::gasp:: ::chuckle::

~We did school. I cried again reading Corrie Ten Boom - this time when Bessie and Corrie see each other again. Ah.

~We tried to stay warm. I began reading a new book. Arielle began a new book. The boys continued on books. The little boys raged around.

~Arielle and I made no-bake cookies - I used rapadura this time and I was MUCH happier than I was with honey.

~I made MORE of Heather's Better than Hidden Valley Ranch dressing....thank ya, Stacia.

~I made Chicken Pot Pie for dinner.

~Cy, the two little boys and I ran to Sam's club for milk and eggs.

~We read about 40 pages in Jungle Book and all agreed that they'd rather stick with THIS version - original and lose the "Great Illustrated Children's Classic" version. I did edit the thees and thous on the fly.

~Josiah had the day off and we all LOVE having him home. We miss him at dinner a lot! He received a call from Pastor Nate - the director of Master's Commission in Spokane. He's grown up so quickly.

Your chicken pot pie sounds so good. I am making my dinner list tomorrow . . I might just have to add that to my list.

OH how I wish I had your determination yet. Lost it somewhere along the line. :):):)

Freezing rain and light snow predicted for today. Old snow is still around.

Dad's wray yesterday showed bone growth but also showed two areas that are still dark which means no bone. CT scan on Friday to see what is up now inside. ONLY THING left to do the Dr. says is to ask L&I in Washington (workers comp) to ok an external bone stimulator that delivers real tiny electrical shocks on a regular basis. He explained the theory behind this. Dad weighed and he is only putting 50lbs on pressure on that left side. He was surprised because it hurts all the time and he thought he was putting a lot more weight on it than that.

so we continue on in this saga...

Another great day for you all.

I cooked up some chicken yesterday, maybe pot pie is in order.

I have several videos and pull them out when the weather is yucky, which around here can be often. The little guys usually just move and dance along with me, although for some strange reason, Dan always fusses. Communication is till iffy with him, so I'm not sure why he gets upset.

We definitely liked the "long" version of Jungle Book. Trying to find an unabridged version of Peter Pan.

SIS: It was to thaw out today BUT on the way to school it started to snow a little and before long the flakes were HUGE and probably we got close to 3" this morning.

NOW it is melting and a slusshy mess. This snow caught even the weather men by surprise because it came from the east and not from the west as in Pacific ocean.

Kids are having a blast and hard to keep them all down to be serious about school.

Some new Mexican kids have never seen snow so they are in awe!

Does this mean that Josiah will also be attending the Master's Commission program? I was reading through the website last week. I couldn't understand if it was a one year program or longer. (Of course, with my mind and the way time flies, this could be the girls' second year . . .)

Kristine - Master's has a one year program. The second year, if you are invited to come back, you are leadership type. Then IF you are inivted to come back you are staff.

The girls are in their 2nd year. They are deciding if they want to stay or move on.

Josiah is contemplating what he will do next year. That one year of MC is excellent (at least in Spokane). It focuses on Spiritual disciplines, ministry basics and purpose/passion plans. Really good stuff. After seeing what the girls did Mike commented that they had learned more about real ministry in one year at MC than he had in all his time at Bible College and Seminary. This was because some felt the girls had wasted time and should have gone right to Bible College or College.

Not sure where any of the three older ones will be next year...stay tuned.
