Surprising Sunday

~It's cold.....and we've had freezing rain, ice, and snow....that certainly counts for surprising.

~Mike called - which is surprising and we were thrilled. He reports he has now ridden a camel. Mike, Zander wanted to know "how many humps" when we told him. I hadn't thought to ask.

~A friend, Margie, stopped by and surprised me with a beautiful calendar.....She said it reminded her of me: Teapot & Tea Calendar. Each month features a tea pot, with tidbits about pots, teas and such in the side bar, and quotes sprinkled here and there. Another fun thing to check out are all the scrumptious looking tea treats. (photo won't load)

~We've simply set around and read, played games, watched Gilligan's Island and Hogan's Heroes....nothing very surprising about that. LOL

I love days when we just sit around and do nothing . . those are sometimes the best days. Also, glad to hear all is well with Mike . . I bet you wish you would of had pictures of the camel riding for your blog . . I think we ALL would of LOVED to of seen that!

Sis: We are still a beautiful winter wonderland in Eugene/Springfield. Funny to notice the yards with no marks or tracks in the snow as compared to homes with kids and snow is all stacked up and/or tromped down.

I love days of nothing to do but enjoy family and each other....... special day for you all in that Mike called. Bet those times are not often enough.

We are really looking forward to the Dr. visit and x-ray tomorrow to see how the hip/femur is coming along.

You just keep that snow and ice up there, dropping below 50* is enough for us down here in SETX.

My dad went to Egypt when I was about 8 and brought back a camel seat (saddle). We loved it, even though it stank!

You've got snow there! I feel like winter still hasn't hit Ohio. If it rains anymore we'll float away. The dogs are already scared to go in the back yard for all of the standing water looks too much like a bath. :)

Oh, I LOVE that Teapot calendar. I had one last year...and couldn't find one for this year. I am so envious of you! (grin) You will enjoy it!

What a wonderful calendar! How fun.

We are getting the freezing rain/snow today. The trees are all bent over with the weight of the ice.

I love those sit around days. We don't have them as often now, as the Littles don't quite get the whole relaxing idea.

LOL - isn't that the truth, Debbie? My two youngest don't get the relaxing thing either.
