Recap

It's come to my attention that I've not updated since Friday. It's sweet when y'all send me emails and call to check on me.
If a picture is worth 1,000 words this one should explain it all.....life gets a bit insane when my sanity leaves.....and the appliances may well be staging their rebellion as I type. I must remain vigilant.
Saturday

4 hours at the library working on lesson plans, correcting papers, gathering books for this week

3 hours with Jamin, Jared, Michael and I have our Socratic discussions for history, Church history, and lit. Michael made my MONTH when he commented after listening/participating in the last hour of discussion that, "You did good, I'm impressed." He promptly printed off 20 pages of Spurgeon's sermons for us to read "in our spare time" - one titled "Exodus" and one titled "The Passover" (or at least close to that).
We played games or something that night.
Sunday
Two services and a fellowship.
Josiah and Jamin rented "The Big Green" for us to watch. Cool.
Monday
6:00 Curves
7:00 - 8:30 School
8:45 - Dr's appointment
9:15 - 9:45 Family Circle, School
10:00 - Airport
10:15 - 11:00 - Groceries
11:00 - 12:00 School
1:30 - Speech
2:30 - 4:30 School
6:00 Curves Weight Solution Class (I made BIG points by stating that I didn't think this was going to work for me ::snort::)
7:00 - 9:45 - Mom's Night Out
There you are...the outline. Tomorrow will be another busy, busy day....then Wed....well Wed and Thursday may be busy too, but Friday...well Friday is co-op and well.....
Did I mention I've been praying about adding 2 music lessons, 4-H, and horse riding lessons?
This is JUST the bare bones....nothing said about the fun new homeschooling family at chapel, or the friendships developing here and there, or the awesome encouragement at MNO.....just the facts.
OH YEAH - Josiah got his first two exams back. He made 86% in history (the prof wants more writing in his answers ::snort:: - this is the boy that summed up the ancient Greek gods by saying "they were really messed up". This short answer issue has been long standing). He scored 102 on his math exam.

De'Etta, I'll be praying with you about adding anymore activities. There are soooo many good things and sometimes I struggle to maintain a healthy balance. What kind of music lessons? Western or English riding lessons?

Congratulations to Josiah on his test scores!

Sounds like some fun things you're thinking about adding.. I still don't know how in the world you get it all done!!!! But, I'm determined that I won't compare (LOL) or I start to feel like I should be able to handle more.

I think I have Josiah's younger twin here in Germany. Top scores in Math but written answers are direct, to the point and as short as possible - why waste words?

I was just thinking about having our son join 4-H in the spring. Last winter we didn't do any "outside" activities and it was so nice. This year we have co-op 3 times a week, guitar lessons once a week, worship practice, lawn cutting, and the list goes on. I do miss the quiet days of last winter. lol
At some point we will be adding OT and Speech therapy.

Sis:

Busy as always! You and Dad get bored if you are not having to many things to do. :):)

BUT, I'd rather be busy than just sit around. :(

Praying for you always, and love

Sounds like me. It is a challenge to balance everything, but I have no doubt you can do it!

You are really picking up speed now! You go, I'll just cheer from the sidelines! :-p

Way to go Cy on your tests. Once he figures out what the profs want, he'll be good to go!

Hmmm..."awesome encouragement at MNO..." So glad you made it and found some encouragement! Must have been the witty emcee ;-) As far as the extracurriculars...I'm NOT saying a THING LOL. Sounds like some fun activities to choose from. Horsebackriding in WTx...doesn't get much better than that!

GUYS - THIS IS NOT A NORMAL WEEK!!!! I'VE BLOGGED REPEATEDLY ABOUT THE 4TH WEEKS ON A MILITARY BASE! THIS IS INSANE AND WILL NOT LAST! MIKE BEING GONE MAKES IT EVEN WILDER!!!!

As for those activities....the more I pray the less I do. ::snort:: Or the bigger my family has gotten the more time we need at home to accomplish our goals????

After talking to several 4 H members and remembering how crazy busy they get - we'll probably wait. Horseback is sorely tempting but the kids are thinking they want piano...and the man will come to our home! Or so I hear....we shall see.

Deja - nah the emcee was totally distracting me from the cute baby. LOL

I often feel a little unsettled when Robert's around while I teach, particularly when it's something that HE knows but I don't! You think I'd be used to it by now, lol.
