It’s that time of the year again! Time for the Homeschool Blog Awards. The nominations for this year’s blog awards began on Monday and continue through the 16th. Voting takes place in the beginning of December. A blog must be nominated by three readers for a category in order to be named a nominee.
Last year I had no idea there WERE Homeschool Blog Awards until I found out I had been nominated. I hesitated mentioning it this year because well - SURE it would be fun to be nominated - but I didn't want to seem self-serving. ::snort:: I decided to go ahead and post it here because I know my readers read far more blogs than I do and the ladies at the HSBA have invested a lot of time to organize the awards. Their effort is worthy of our support. They've asked you grab the little button above - save it to your computer - and publicize the awards. I am.
You can read more about the rules and descriptions of categories here.

Tim and Kathy over at Duckabush Blog have come up with some great alternate categories. I really have enjoyed checking out last year's nominations and winners.....broadened my blog reading horizons. ::snort:: Psst....you know I'd put a clickable link of the button in my side bar but so far all clickable links I attempt seem to lead to Photo bucket. ::snort::

are your links taking you to photo bucket because that's where you've uploaded the photo? If so, I can tell you how to fix that because I have to fix all of mine, but I do have to fix it in the HTML code. You might be able to fix it right in the code where you insert it at the blogger website. If you want I can copy/paste one line of my code for something clickable in my sidebar and send it to you via email.

I have no idea why my comment was posted 2x. Sorry.
I noticed that with the links too.
I think some fun/funny categories would be great. Going to look at Kathy's blog.
Yeah - It's the OCC photo and the logos for the sites where I borrowed graphics that I need to figure out. Trish sent me the code for the country graphic one and it STILL went to PB instead of the site. LOL
