Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Mummy Revealed

We finally dug our apple mummy out of it's salty tomb.

Yes, we could see and feel a difference. The apple exposed to the air was smaller and rock hard...The mummified apple was still soft, moist, and was much larger.

Sucessful project.

This is such a great project! I wish we had done this when the kid studied ancient Egypt. Ah well, I know she'll be interested in studying that time period again in a few years! We'll just do it then!

I'm having a blast with this year. My boys can't wait for NEXT year. I've heard that whole medieval period is hard to teach and there aren't a lot of resources...we shall see.

Ooo-kay. But I'd rather have a dried up old mummy than a soft one!
