We finally dug our apple mummy out of it's salty tomb. Yes, we could see and feel a difference. The apple exposed to the air was smaller and rock hard...The mummified apple was still soft, moist, and was much larger. Sucessful project.
This is such a great project! I wish we had done this when the kid studied ancient Egypt. Ah well, I know she'll be interested in studying that time period again in a few years! We'll just do it then!
I'm having a blast with this year. My boys can't wait for NEXT year. I've heard that whole medieval period is hard to teach and there aren't a lot of resources...we shall see.

It was so EASY and yet effective - my sort of project. LOL
