I Forgot to say Goodbye to my Lover....

Yesterday was another bittersweet day for our family. BITTER to say goodbye to the girls once again as they head back to WA and Master's Commission. SWEET as we know that they love God wholeheartedly and are following the path He has set for them.

No matter how slowly you walk eventually you enter the airport. LOL

We circled up, prayed, and it was time for them to go.

I took the kids to breakfast at McDonald's - a RARE event in our household...but loved by the littles.
During the fun play Zander came up to me and sadly stated, "I forgot to say goodbye to my lover!" I was glad we had the new phones. We text messaged the girls and he was able to say goodbye. I saved their sweet reply messages for instant replay whenever needed.
The big boys went out with friends.
The youngers, Mom and I went to check out the BIG Walmart on the other side of town. Stacia needed to upgrade from a 3T - 4T wardrobe (Yes, she is barely 2 years old), all needed jackets or coats. Arielle bought some pants besides sweats to wear. They really liked the PLAY ROOM at this Walmart....hmmmm...it may be worth it to drive across town from now on.

Mike suggested Dairy Queen in the evening.

Meanwhile, the girls had a longer than expected wait in Dallas. I think, if I have it right,  an airplane in Denver had problems and never made it to Dallas. They were put in a hotel over night, given meal vouchers and flew out early this a.m.

De'Etta - I had tears in my eyes reading these last posts. So tender to send those girls off.

Is Zander particularly close to one of the girls? How precious!

At first, reading the title, I thought Mike was leaving for a trip. Who knew it was a sweet little one, missing his sister.

De'Etta, thanks for sharing. I can't imagine.....and you seem to handle it so well!

I had to laugh at the picture of Zander and Stacia at the airport. Zander in shorts and Stacia in a winter coat LOLOL......

I'm glad you had a nice visit :)

Oh, De'Etta, how difficult for you all. I just love the way you share these tender moments.

Poor, Zander, dealing with his feelings the way he does. It is great that you have the new phones and you could message with the girls.

McDonald's...such a love/hate relationship in this house. It has become our "comfort" stop when we are needing a pick me up aka...usually when Brian has left.

Zander is so in love with his sister and it is endearing! We have had Sprint PCS for over 10 years. We got a special deal through dh's work. We have the opportunity to switch to Verizon (all family is on it except a few) or AT&T (others are on it.) but the 7pm calling is something that keeps us from switching (the others are 9pm). We are still praying though but we might stick with it.

Thanks for being so open . . .also by sharing how you are feeling let's us know exactly how to pray. How fun that the kids had both McDonalds and Dairy Queen that day . . I bet it really helped to take their minds off their big sisters going back to school.
