Photobucket THIS DAY

I took three children to the doctors today. Of course, they couldn't be seen TOGETHER....though on the last appointment I asked about MY ears. Mine don't hurt. BUT for months - probably more than a year - they've had pressure behind them. They always need to be popped. It's gotten noticably bad as Mike mentions there is nothing wrong with his voice, the volume on the radio, the children's voice but my hearing is going. WELL NOW. I was QUITE sure that I wasn't losing my hearing...but as I watched all the kids be examined today I asked the doc about my ears. I explained that I don't have a fever. I don't have pain. I've had pressure for months and my ears always need to be popped but never quite clear.

The man too PITY on me! He said, "Since you are here" and grabbed the otoscope. I had been told over a year ago at this time that everyone here develops new allergies and to take decongestant. I told the doc that that is probably what it was but that I've had it since this time last year. Turns out that I have lots of fluid behind my ear. Lots. He said that there is no way decongestants will help. He also said that this would explain my loss of hearing. I have meds too.

FOUR unexpected doctor appointments. My PLAN was to stay home and get some things caught up around here, play with kids....and I need to do a girls date with Arielle SOON.....

I also want to take some prints in locally to be printed. I don't know WHY but on Friday I decided this Elmendorf PWOC album needed doing...and now I simply need to print out 19 layouts.

While sitting in waiting room today I decided to redo two of the layouts I did yesterday - because I wanted to make give them a tad bit more zing, now that I discovered how late last night. I did that and Arielle and I are heading to the Scrapbook Store....then we'll crash tonight and plan the rest of week to be what we wanted to do the last two days. ::snort::

I'm not sure if you can see the big difference online...but in life it's noticeable.

Original layout - notice that CM shadows the little dotty elements...

I added shadows around the photos - as they would stand out in a real album. I think it makes the page look more 3D and less "flat".....

Now.....off we go again. Oh yeah, I had to fill up my van. $108.68. YIKES! But in ALASKA CNN reports gas at $4.50 a gal - could it be?

Yes...It can be $4.50 a gallon in AK!
I have to fill up today and will let you know what Anchorage is, but some parts of AK are higher than we are...so, $4.50 doesn't surprise me.

I used to get swimmers ear all the time. I finally started wearing earplugs when I did my laps.

Love the layouts and yes I can see the difference online. The shadowing looks great.

I paid $4.23 yesterday in NY. Most pumps around here will shut off at $75, so I have to run my debit card a 2nd time to fill the van!

Glad you're enjoying the CMSBplus. I plan to get that when I order again in a few days.

I looked at my smilebox pages because I thought they all had shadowing and they do... at least the pages I've done through smilebox. I remember that being one of the first things I noticed when I printed pages from the "just plane cute" album. I LOVED how the embellishments "popped" and the clips for example looked REAL! Th ephotos are all have dark shadowed lines around the matting to set them off from the paper underneath.
So, I'm glad the smilebox has shadowing and I'm looking forward to trying the CM program!

Thanks for the tips on swimmer's ears.

Cindy not all the Smilebox designs have shadows. I have several that I've used that don't; but now I know to look for it. BUT I'm not redoing any more layouts. LOL Some of the ones I did have frames around the photos but they still not "pop" like they do with the shadowing.... I noticed shadowing on the embellishments but I want some on photos too. LOL

AK gas prices as of 6/24/08 multiple stations:
Premium unleaded = $4.50/gal
Regular unleaded = $4.30/gal
Fred Meyer discount regular unleaded = $4.20/gal.

Sorry to hear about the swimmers ear. Had that a few years ago and I remember it was very painful and for me slow to clear up. Doc gave drops for the ear and I started using swimmer's ear plugs.

What are they doing for the fluid in your ears?

Yikes, Darshia.

The kids have drops. I have antibiotics for the fluid. If that doesn't work we're to discuss options. I don't look to allowing tubes in my ears at this age. LOL

Sis: The new page certainly is more 3d and darker etc. Like is better.

??If I told you this already. Dad fell, rib broke but he is fine just has to slow down a bit.

We think we may start using the city bus some, if we are not in a hurry, gas is just to much! Yea! for senior discounts. :):)

love/prayers
