Shopping!

I mentioned yesterday how sweet Renee B was to take me off base to shop for Stacia's birthday. Here are a "few" photos from that outing....Um....I found a new computer room with working wifi...I think it's an Airman's Dorm...but billetting told me about it. ::snort::

Three things to note from this photo.....ONE in a country where most stereotypically expect to find short people (read that sentence again), the shelves and storage cupboards etc are INCREDIBLY high - up to the ceiling in fact. I think that is because space is at a premium and all space is used. TWO...note the cool little pole that Renee pointed out to Nolan to reach the top dress. THREE....we are not going to have trouble finding Stacia dresses here. She wears a 120 - 130 here - near as I can tell.

Ricky said this one was pretty. I agree and think Stacia will too. Ricky is a doll..and is Renee's son.

No, I didn't buy Stacia Pretz for her birthday, but we did enjoy finding new flavors. ::snort::Photobucket

One new thing here is that the cashiers ring up your items, then hand them all back to you with a bag, and you go to a counter and bag them yourself. Photobucket

We found all the gifts we needed for Stacia at these three stores. I even found a fun new party hat since the Pig Hat won't be unpacked until we have a home...it IS in our unaccompanied....at least it wasn't in the suitcases and stolen.
Thanks again, Renee.

I can't remember if I had to pay for bags in Seoul but I do remember bagging.... but in Germany (and much of Europe) it is wise to bring one's bags shopping because they charge for each and every bag... but you still have to bag your own items....

Yes - you are supposed to bring your own bags with you here too....but I don't have any yet (they are in Hold baggage) and I keep forgettting.....but everywhere I've gone so far has had plastic bags.

I like doing my own bagging. Just fussy, I guess.{g}
