PUMPKINS

I got 3 pie pumpkins yesterday. We don't like pumpkin pie but we do like the spices...so I'm thinking here....anyone care to send their favorite pumpkin muffins, bread, bar or whatever else recipes? The pumpkins are baking...on with the rest of the day...

I will go print Emily's from her blog. {g}

How fun! I have never baked/cooked my own pumpkin. Is this your first time? Let us know how it works out! Also, if you get any good recipes - share them when you can!

Ok.. I don't get to read very often, but I got to today! My favorite is in storage, but Adrienne has it. Rodale's Natural Food Cookbook has pumpkin ice cream! It's soo good.

Oh, oh, OH Becky you are back! You don't KNOW how much I miss you. My computer crashed and I lost your blog address....if you are updating it, email me and I'll visit you there.

I MISS having you and your family around..... OK I have this cookbook. I'm still looking for Nourishing Traditions - eventually I'll have to quite being a skinflint and buy it new. LOL

Pumpkin ice cream? You like it? I must admit it doesn't sound good to ME...but you haven't steered me wrong yet. ::snort::

Emily - it was simple. These are smaller pumpkins than the ones you carve....I put them on a baking sheet and baked them at 350* until I remembered to take them out. ::snort::

I then scooped out the insdie gunk and pureed the rest. I froze it in 1 C measurements so that I can make things easily. I don't see myself making a pie...but want to try some muffins, breads and bars...and I guess ice cream! I went and found your bar recipe.

This was simple...and the littles were VERY impressed with me. I look for projects like this. LOL

I am impressed how you have stayed consistent with your nutrition plan. I know in my heart it is the best way to go for me and my family but I am not ready to take the plunge yet :-) I guess I am nervous about having to "find" all the natural stuff :-)

Emily....no...we sort of did it 1/2 way...until Zander was given an alphabet of letters and spectrums to follow his name...I "happened" to remember FG and wanted to try that before other treatment options...then I "happened" to meet a friend here who had read and strictly lives by "What the Bible Says about Healthy Living" and it all clicked. Zander is out motivation to keep the house clear.....I am praying it becomes such a lifestyle that we don't slide back when he leaves home...LOL
