Circle of Blessing

Since I had some unexpected wreath frames....Arielle set down to make a wreath. We decided to write verses on the leaves. It turned out really cute. Stacia of course had to join us.

I've mentioned I can't find our fall decor (about 20 times ::snort::)! I've been looking for the perfect wreath for our door. Arielle asked if we could hang hers there. I think it's perfect. I hope the ink doesn't run.

This was a FUN and easy project. I was able to show Arielle again how useful a concordance is, we picked some great verses, it truly put a song in my heart. I'm praying that others who come to our door this season will be blessed or maybe even drawn to Jesus. BTW - we did NOT buy the Aslan door knocker....and Stacia's "wreath" is on the fridge.

What great ideas, De'Etta! I'm waiting for our Thanksgiving tree to arrive and if it's not what I'm hoping for I bookmarked Oriental Trading. Thanks for sharing. :)

What a beautiful young girl Arielle is and of course Stacia . . she is a total doll too. I really like the "Verse" wreath. What a great idea!

Michelle - Oriental also has little trees - personalized ones for classes or bulletin boards.

Ah Emily - she's gorgeous inside and out. I'm so thankful to have her home - the boys could care less about participating in any of these get ready crafty things....they do the leaves, they like to have things done. LOL

De'Etta, I went back to Oriental Trading and saw the little trees. I also like the leaves done in the shape of a cross. I thought that might be neat to put on each of the children's bedroom door.

They also have a BIG free standing tree that looks neat. Lots of possibilities!

Oh... I do love this time of year...--
I think that I will..."borrow" this idea and ask for creative help from my kids--
I just had a thought... I can have the kids write a verse and/or thankfullness leaf, and then each year at Thanksgiving we can read the ones that once again touch us, at the dinner table as a blessing over the meal!
I'll take the leaves and make a wreath, or cross...depending on how many--- what a great FAMILY tradition in the making!
