You Be the Judge!!!

Have I lived in TX too long as my sons mercilessly claim? I stopped on our way home from dinner last night (with friends) to take this photo. THEY say they are scrawny trees, no mountains blah blah blah.....
I say they are "respectable beauty" - So....have I been in TX too long?

I think EVERY place has beauty when you look for it! It's a cool shot, and I thought the mesquite was pretty too (in an unusual way!) that you posted for the wreath.

Sis: Beauty is what one considers beautiful. I love those shots. Has some Montana look going between Hardin-S.Dakota.

Like the way it is all framed in.

I would have stopped, too. :) Beautiful photos. I also agree with Kristine - there is a special and unique beauty anywhere.

Scrub! I like it! Yep, my dear friend you be Texan. I'm a West Texas Native and Mesquite is about all I know. Before you leave our beautiful are be sure to visit one of the stores that sells items/furniture made from mesquite. I once saw a Dining Room table that totally changed my mind regarding the nasty, straggly, thorny, bean dumping tree. We had several of these trees around our house growing up. We always had to pick up beans before we could mow the yard. Aauugghh...But thanks to them and Purple Sage we West Texans can predict Spring and Rain.

I love it. Although, I've never lived where it's mountainous so I'm probably not a good judge.lol
