for those who have lived and blogged etc in foreign countries.
I changed the time in blogger to match HERE instead of WA. NOW all the headers, ads etc are in Japanese.....I can GUESS where to click...but it's a bit annoying and I worry about clicking the wrong link some day. The posts and such are in English....but why is google, blogger etc all showing up in Japanese?

Ooo, yes, do be careful about that. The same thing happened to Renee and she inadvertently deleted her whole blog, remember?
Maybe you should ask one of those Japanese employees at the base to help you with that one?
Obviously, I haven't had the same problem with being on London time in my blog. {g}
It sure did Dorothy..... google comes up automatically to the 'correct' page based on the origin of the ISP.... so it will come up in Japanese since it's a Japanese ISP....
but you can change the language on blogger.....it's in the upper right corner... ig says language and there's a dropdown box..... hopefully you can tell which one is English....
Everything on your page appears to be English for me. I hope you figured it out. I don't have any suggestion for you other to make sure in your setting its set to English.

Yes, I had that problem when Softbank had the internet contract. But now, if you live on base, Verizon will provide you with an American ISP and it won't be an issue anymore :) Please call me anytime 616-3540 with questions or to ask for directions or anything--I'm eager to help. It's fun to read your intial impressions of Japan and remember how different it seems at first :)
