Fellowship Sunday!

Fellowship Sundays are always enjoyable. THIS Sunday we combined a Thanksgiving Dinner Potluck with decorating the chapel and painting the Chapel's Christmas Card. It was a full day - but a fun day.

I made a turkey!  I brought a bit home and that will be the Turkey for our meat eaters on Thanksgiving. We'll have all the go-withs. The vegans requested Veggie Pot Pie, so I'll make that as well. I would be full and happy just eating the sides - certainly filled me up at the Potluck. LOL

I forgot my camera - but did have my phone. Someone else took photos and so I'll have some good photos to post on the chapel's pages.

Chaplain T cut this out - we'll get it painted

After the wreaths were up and the tree lit....Michael let us all go eat our Thanksgiving meal.  Afterwards quite a few stayed to help decorate the tree. Kelsey and her girls helped me begin the library's winter face lift.

Quamara smiled at him - made his whole day!

Zay and Daniel start the painting

We really had a fun day. It was a blessing to see so many pitch in with the decorating, the painting, the cooking and the clean up of the meal after we'd finished eating.  There have been months when this has not been the case. ::grin::

We enjoyed helping out after service. It was awesome to see the community taking part in decorating.

Reading your log has brought back many fun memories of times like this at many chapels over the years we served the Lord in the AF.
