NATURE CENTER
I have not been able to access the newsletter of my homeschooling support group for a couple of months. Basically, this means that we'v enot done field trips etc. That's o.k. We've been able to "focus". I see this month's field trip coordiantor at speech. She mentioned that today they were going to the Nature Center. I was so glad to hear about this as we are studying insects right now. I bet you thought "Zoology - flying creatures" would only be about birds. {G} Here are a few pictures. I did not show the grossest ones. There are none of Arielle because she was doing good to ATTEND and stand next to me.....I couldn't get her to pet or hold a critter. (Sorry fo the double pictures....it won't let me delete one). The center is really cool and the tour guide did a wonderful job. We had the whole center to ourselves.

I'm with Arielle. No petting or holding of the critters! Great pictures of the boys though :)

We are going to start to really dig into our zoology book next week. Just Allen and me. Isaac is going to do general science and Jordan is moving onto biology. I'm looking forward to doing this with just Allen. His love language (and mine too) is time. I'm sure he feels quite loved by me lol.

Anyway....what a neat spur-of-the-moment field trip :)

Oh my wow!!! Your boys were so brave! Jared did NOT look like he was happy to be holding that corn snake though!

Jen...it began climbing up his arm as I took the picture and he was getting a tad bit worried. LOL

The look on Jared's face, priceless! Very good pictures, I'm surprised you even ventured into a room with these critters though!

LOL Jodi - you know me well. I MADE myself go in because Arielle would not go in if I didn't....I even went into the snake room - for about 45 seconds. {G}
