Sleep is always a challenge the first few days when Mike is away. I ended up with both little ones in the bed last night - what happened the visions of lounging alone in a giant bed and reading late into the night????
Maybe all those extras in the bed contributed to my jumbled dreams. It seems the whole War on Terror was really started as a way for my sweet, romantic, enduring husband to leave his hard to live with wife. I woke up thinking "that was the weirdest dream I've had in a long time"....and immediately telling myself to "Take every thought captive to the Lordship of Christ" and to get a grip! I also reminded myself that Mike is traveling and wouldn't be able to call until tomorrow.
The phone rang unexpectedly (ya'all KNOW not to call me at 6 a.m.!!!)
and it was Mike calling to say he's in Germany and had been given 5 minutes to call home. He assured me that while we can both be difficult to live with at times the war department did not cook this up to give him an escape plan.How good of God to make sure I got quick resolution on that dream.

Wow, De'Etta, I get online this morning and all these posts on your blog! I love reading them and I hope you don't mind, but I have encouraged Bessie (our 13yo) to read them. I find your posts so inspiring and she is always asking me what I am reading that makes me cry! LOL
Stacia is such a gorgeous baby and I love the beads she is wearing...very "stylin'".
Brian also raves about the USO. They have a nice one at LAX. He often has long layovers there and he can catch a shower and they have very comfy recliners where he can get a good nap.
I'm so glad you were able to catch the call from Mike. When Bri is away, I have to admit to hanging around home as much as posible and staying off the computer so we don't miss any calls. Hearing his voice is so sweet when he is away. Will Mike be able to call/e-mail regularly?
Still praying for you all. If there is anything specific you need prayer for and you feel you can share, I would love to pray for you (you can e-mail off blog/list). I consider it a privilege to have your family as my special prayer concern.

How wonderful that Mike called just when you needed reassurance from the icky dream. Yes it seems like it had to be a God thing!
