Years ago I was part of an Organic Coop. The carrots were my favorite thing to order. They were so sweet and good. I remember the first time I ordered - I put down carrots. Well, I ended up with a bag as big as the one Arielle (sp) was holding in the picture. :-)

That's a lot of produce! I wish we had a produce co-op around here. Maybe one day... I hope that you're little one is feeling better soon!

WHAT FUN! It's been so many years since we had our produce co-op here and sometimes I really miss it. Can you believe that I never got a single picture of that? Sigh... it must have been during a time when I quit taking pictures since I was so far behind (LOL)! Maybe I'll have to borrow some of your produce basket pictures!

Steph - if you get a few families together who can split cases....you'll most likely be able to find a produce manager to give you a discount. That's what we are doing...not really a full fledged co-op....but really a co-op in the sense of the word "cooperating" together. LOL

QB - ::snort:: yeah...that whole produce co-op thing is another strange thing I sparked you into - isn't it????? LOL You did yours with a local produce manager didn't you? Or was it with a wholesaler?

We don't have a wholesaler local - we had tons of them in San Antonio. Gosh - I've been eating massive amounts of produce for a long time...I'm proof positive that healthy eating doesn't equate with weight loss. ::snort::

Emily - yeah - you have to make sure you don't throw in with a bunch of juicers or you can get HUGE amounts of these things every week. LOL

These carrots are very sweet too...yummm....

HI to all: You will never guess what I found tucked away between some banana hands...... Just imagine the WORST used thing you would want to see in such a place..
especially when you had eaten over 1/2 of these organic banana's before you noticed their dumb man's thing. Actually this find was worse than any bug, rat, or etc ever found in market stuff I bought in Mexcio,Liberia or the Philippines. eck! Needless to say I washed the banana's in clorox, hot water, soap and rinsed them real good.... same with my hands.... I also went to the store manager where I had bought these banana's and told him.... he was shocked but said he would alert his head office so they could do whaterver it is they do..... probably ignore... you can be sure I'll really look over fresh fruit etc from now on.

::snort:: ah Mom...that's even funnier than the frog in the bag of salad if it's what I think you mean. GROSS. Well it is pretty funny since *I* didn't find it.
