Last week when we went to Shimoda Mall, I let the kids buy plants at the Y100 store. I thought it would be fun for them to have something for our new home. Nolan picked the smallest to see how big it will be when we move. The last thing we did in TX was give away the one plant we had. It seemed fitting to buy new plants right away...and you can't go wrong at the Y100 store.
They're also a little reminder to bloom in our new home.

What a great thing to do. I love plants.
I did have to note that I am glad I am not the only one that has taken to wearing my 1/2 glasses on a string around my neck. :-)
Sis:
NEAT on the flowers. I Bet even some of the flowrs of Japan can live indoors in the winter and continue to bloom. Hope so!
You all look happy and that is nice.

Sis:
Imagine seeing 'Weyerhaeuser' way over there. :):) The field and horse barn might prove to be fun especially for the horse lover of your family.
Agree with Jared on the wait. How long might it be? How far is the house from the base etc.?

The house is due to be done the end of Sept. It's 3 miles but 20 minutes from the base.
Debbie, I've had the unique necklace for about 3 years now. LOL
De'Etta, is the 3 miles translating to 20 minutes because of traffic? I know my brother could ride his bicycle much quicker than drive out in certain parts of LA. Maybe you all will have to start riding your bikes.
Nice idea about the plants. Will look forward to seeing how big Nolan's is by the time you're all settled in a home. Praying it sooner rather than much later!
Awesome picture...and great idea!
Debbie....we were talking of this very thing. Mike and Jared are sure they could ride the 3 miles in less than 20 minutes.....and that would be a good thing in the spring, summer? and fall. I think I could walk it in just a bit over 20 min. LOL
Two factors contribute to the long commute time....slow speed limits...26 - 50 mph at most (40 - 60 kph). The average seems to be 40 kph (26 mph) around town with 20 kph in housing and 60 kph on the highways. The second factor is yes...lots of traffic and stop lights.
