Lap book Question....

What do you all use to attach the little books to the big book? Would glue sticks, doube sided tape, those little scrap book thingies, or glue work best?

We've got all but two little books done. We'll start attaching in the a.m.

We use glue sticks to attach ours. Of course, we have only done one and are working on the Thanksgiving one this week. Next week we will start the Unit 1 Yr 3 TOG one. The glue sticks seem to work well.

I can't say what's best, but I can tell you that we didn't like using glue because it left ripples in the paper. Glue sticks seemed to work just fine without said ripples.

Great - I knew glue would leave ripples...but wondered if glue sticks would be strong enough to hold the thick books.....and if they'd pop off.....but I glue sticks are easiest.

Cindy - have the ladies at your co-op who organize the lapbooks mentioned spray adhesive? That was mentioned in the book I'm reading. It involves going outside to spray and I thought sounded complicated....never heard of anyone using it. Have any of you?

would a hot glue gun work?

(not the crafty type and never have done a lapbook)

I've been using glue sticks and yes the heavier card stock items have fallen off, LOL. Just a couple things but for heavier, larger things I will need to try something else next time.
