Quickly - Tuesday

The day began with Bible Study, bike ride, weights, and a trip to buy groceries.

Unfortunately, I missed Mike's call during the grocery trip. I did get back home in 1 1/2 hours with all that I need to cook. My children informed me that just because they said they wanted to "be home" it didn't mean that we didn't need a meal and that we could go out for Chinese. ::snort:: We do have a much scaled down menu and will have tons of food anyway. The dessert...well those of you who have been around other Holidays KNOW....I let each child choose a favorite dessert. Of course, they work it so that no two people request the same one. This will be o.k. because Debbie, Steve and boys are coming over for games and dessert in the evening....and possibly Matt too.... I think it will be a very nice and relaxed holiday.

I planned to bake pies for tomorrow night's pie social after the Ecumenical service on base...but I got waylaid by a lap book. LOL

We finished all but two little books for the Thanksgiving lap book and will begin assembling it all tomorrow. There was only one book that I simply could NOT figure out the fold for.....I have no idea WHY...there were two or three like this and I did the others fine. No it WASN'T the "Did you know" booklets. ::snort:: It was a "I'm thankful" booklet and I decided it would be nicer to take a picture of our thanksgiving tree and mount that anyway. LOL

Tricia and her girls came over today. That provided a nice break from school and adult conversation for me. {g}

This evening found us reading two more chapters in Peter Pan. I really need to post a quote and see if one of my English friends can translate for me. I'm thinking Mandy or Dorothy could help out....and Jodi may be able to help since Bobby is from England. We looked the words up in the dictionary but I'm not sure we really got it.

Now all the littles are in bed except Stacia. She took a late nap. I need to help her adjust that late nap thing.

I KNOW I'm in the wrong blog, but I didn't know Bobby was British. I thought it was Jodi's mom or someone like that! Wow, the things I can learn about my friends reading other people's blogs! LOL

Oh shoot - and the things I can give away about friends if I'm not careful. Really, I think Jodi HAS mentioned this before on her blog (when I asked about marmite toast) and on SHS.

Sorry - Jodi - if I revealed to much.

We also do the favorite dessert thing around here. Everyone who comes for Thanksgiving dinner will see their favorite pie in my pantry. I'm ALWAYS glad when at least a couple of people chose the same pie (LOL)!
